As long as el ectrici ty, water, and g as su ppli es are conn ected, hot wate r is av ailabl e wh en hot water taps are open.
12 Excessively hot water is dangerous, especially for young c hildren and t he infirm . The water heate r allows y ou to control the t emperature of your hot water to saf e levels. Do stay with childr en whenever th ey are in t he bathroom. Do take them o ut of the b athroom if you need to answer the phone or door.
13 IMPORT ANT INFORMA TION Alwa ys c heck wate r temp eratu re be fore use. Refer to wa rning about hot water on page 12 f or impo rtant safe ty info rmation. Hot water may go out without wa rning at low water flows. The I nfin ity 16e controls the wate r temperat ure a utomat ically.
14 Rinnai Infinity product s have no pilo t light a nd when install ed without Tempe rature Controllers, the applia nce will operate automati cally as soon as a hot water tap is opened . The burne r ignites wi th elect ronic igniti on and t he flame exting uishes as soon as w ater flowing through the appliance stops.

18 TEMPERA TURE CONTROLS The purpose of a Te mperature Cont roller is to enable the us er to hav e complete c ontrol over the hot water su pply. Used cor rectly, the hot water u nit will supply hot wat er at the temper ature selec ted, eve n when the wate r flo w is var ied, or when more th an one tap is used.
19 Remote temperatur e controllers a re a feature t hat provides cont rol over the water temperatu re. Rinnai Infinity wa ter heaters can be operate d with 1, 2, 3 or no temperatu re controllers. The Univ ersal controller M C-91-1A c omes as sta ndard with all Infinity wa ter heaters.
20 TEMPERA TURE CONTROLS - OPERA TING Using 1 Universal T emperature Controller . Press the On/O ff but ton on the tem perat ure contr oller. The ON indicato r will glow on the Temperature Controller. This in dicates th at the he ater is re ady t o supply hot wate r when a tap is opened.
21 Using 2 or more Uni v ersal T emperature Controllers. Switching the sy stem ON. Using hot water. Bath room t empera tures should be no more than 50 0 C. The ho t wate r system a nd a ll contro llers can be switched ON and OFF f rom any cont roller by pressin g the On/Of f button as sho wn.
22 Using High T em perature Display Controllers. You will need to program th e Master cont roller if y ou want to dis play and us e temperatures over 50 0 C.
23 Note T o turn off your hot water syst em. Additional safety features. During normal operati on the system is left on. To turn the system off simply press the On/O ff button on any t emperature controller (wher e fitted). This will shut the w ater heate r down comple tely incl uding the te mpera ture contr oller digital display .
