6 Fig. 3 ASSEMBL Y A TT ACHING THE LOWER FOOT See Figures 1 and 2. n Place stand assembly “flat” on floor . n Rotate lower foot into upright position aligning holes as shown. n Locate the following parts: Hex Bolt, M8 x 50 mm (2) Flat W asher , M8 (4) Lock Nut, M8 (2) n Install bolt, two washers and lock nut as shown.
7 WORKST AND SET -UP See Figures 4 and 5. Before Y ou Start n If a miter saw is already assembled to the stand, make sure that it is securely attached to the stand per the instructions in this manual. n If a compound miter saw is already assembled to the stand, make sure to place the blade 90° to the table (if applicable).
8 ASSEMBL Y MOUNTING MITER SA W See Figures 6 and 7. WARNING: Failure to unplug the tool could r esult in accidental starting causing possible serious personal injury .
9 ASSEMBL Y MOUNTING OTHER BRANDS See Figure 8. NOTE: Other brands of miter saws (not RIDGID miter saws) will requir e additional 5/16 in. mounting holes to be drilled.
10 ASSEMBL Y EXTENSION BAR(S) OPERA TION See Figures 10 and 11. Both extension bars may be adjusted to pr ovide maximum workpiece support. T o adjust the extension bars: n Loosen adjustable handle by tur ning counter clockwise. NOTE: Adjustable handle can be repositioned if necessary .
11 FOLDING LEG AND T ABLE n Loosen the r oller foot knob and slide foot extension up. Tighten knob. n Release locking pin and raise foot. n Loosen the extension bar handle and slide extension bar in towards table. Tighten extension bar handle. n Repeat for the other side.
12 ASSEMBL Y TRANSPORTING TOOL See Figure 15. n When hauling the workstand in a vehicle, securely tie it down to prevent movement and possible damage. n Always get help if you need to lift the workstand. When lifting, hold the workstand close to your body .
