2 Display Panel The display panel shows machine status , error messages, and function menus. Important ❒ A force or impact of more than 30 N (a bout 3 kgf) will damage the displa y panel. If you press the { User Tools/Counter } key, the User Tools Menu screen appears.
3 Reading the Display and Using Keys This section e xplains how t o read the displa y and use the Se lection keys. If you press the { Copy } key, the initial copy screen appears. Using the initial copy screen menu as an example, this section ex plains how to use the machine's control panel.
4 Accessing User Tools (System Settings) This section is f or Administrato rs in charge of this machine. User Tools allo w you to change or set default s. Note ❒ Operations for system settings differ from normal operations. Always quit User Tools when you have finished.

When sending e-mail via an SMTP server, you can enhance the level of SMTP server security by connecting to th e POP server for authentication. To enable POP server authe ntication before sending e-mail via the SMTP server, set [ POP before SMTP ] to [ On ] .

File Transfer 67 2 ❖ Default User Name/PW(Send) To send a scan image directly to a Windows shared folder, an FTP server, or a NetWare server, specify the user na me and password. The user name and password specified in this setting will be shared by all users.
System Settings 68 2 ❖ Scanner Resend Time Specifies the interval the machine waits before resending a scan file, if they cannot be sent to the deli very server or mail server. The default setting is 300 second(s). The interval time can be set from 60 to 999 seconds in one second increments, using the number keys.
