English 1 Ultra Mirage ™ NON-VENTED FULL F ACE MASK The Ultra Mirage NV (non-vented) F u ll F ace Mask is a non-inv asive device used for c hannelling air flow with or w ithout supplemen tal oxy gen.
2 the ventilator enclosure. Oxygen accu mulated in the ventilator enclosure will creat e a risk of fire. This w arnin g applies to most types of ventilators. • Please refrain from smoking while oxy gen is in use. • Using a mask may cause tooth, gum or jaw soreness or aggravate an existing dental condition.
3 English 5 Gently tighten the low er headgear straps (B-4). The pads of the forehead support sh ould sit comfortably o n the forehead when the mask is in place. If the pads are at an angle and not completely seated on the forehead, c h ange the position of the forehead support tab.
4 Simply pull the Emergency Release Cord and the two part clip separates, allow ing you to remo ve the mask from the face. Figure 1: Emer gency Release Cord. Note : T he Eme rgency R elease Cord should only be used to remove the mask in the ev ent of an emergency .
5 English Cleaning the Mask in the Home Notes: • W ash your hands before cleaning the mask. • It is important to alway s handwash the headgear . • The headgear ma y be washed without being disassembled from the headgear clips.
6 3 T o at tac h the elbow retainer , fit one side of the elbow retainer against the groov e of the elbow . While holding one wing of the elbow retainer down (D-3a) , press the other wing do wn until it clic ks into place (D-3b) . 4 Rotate the elbo w ret ainer to its original position (D-4) .
7 English Dead Space Dead space is the empt y v olume of the mask up to the elbow . The dead space of the mask v aries accord ing to cushion sizes but is less than 260 mL. Standards CE designation in accordance with EC directive 93/42/EEC, class IIa .
