5 Section 3 Connection Procedures 3.1 Connecting User System Int erface Board to User System W ARNING Always switch OFF the user syst em and the emulator product before the USER SYSTEM INTERFACE BOARD is connect ed to or removed from any part. B efore connect ing, make sure that pin 1 on both sides are correct ly aligned.
6 3.1.2 Installing Ca ble Head CA UTION Check the location of pin 1 before inserting. If the IC socket is not conn ected properly, the power-supply pins will be shorted as shown below.
7 Fasten the user s ystem inte rface board to the IC socket for a PR QP0064GB-A (former code: FP-64AV) package on the user system wi th the four screws (M2.0 x 10 mm) provided. Each screw should be tightened a little at a time, altern ating between screws on opposing corners.
