i Preface The HS1653ECN61H is a us er system interface board that connects a us er system for the H8SX/1653 TFP -120 package to the H8SX/ 1650 E6000H emulator (HS 1650EPH60H). Emulation of the H8SX/1653 group is only poss ible when this user sys tem interface board is connected to the HS1650EP H60H.
ii Contents Section 1 Configuration ..................................................................................... 1 Section 2 Connection Procedures ...................................................................... 3 2.1 Connecting User System Interface B oard to User System .
1 Section 1 Configuration Figure 1 and table 1 show the configuration and components of the us er system interface board for the TFP-120 package. Pleas e make sure you have all of thes e components when unpacking.
2 CAUTION Use an IC149-120- 043-B51 socket (m anufactured by YAMAICH I ELECTRONICS Co., Lt d.) for th e TFP-120 package IC socket on the user syst em. Table 1 HS1653ECN61H C omponents No.
3 Section 2 Connection Procedures 2.1 Connecting User System Interface Board to User System W ARNING Always switch OFF the user syst em and the emulator product before the USER SYSTEM INTERFACE BOARD is connected to or removed from any part . Before connecting, make sure that pin 1 on bot h sides are correctly aligned.
4 To connect the cable head to the user system, follow the ins tructions below. 2.1.1 Installing IC So cket After checking the l ocation of pin 1 on the IC s ocket, apply epoxy resin adhes ive to the bott om of the IC socket for a TF P-120 package, and fasten it t o the user system before s oldering.
5 2.1.4 Fastening I C Socket Connector CAUTION 1. Use the screwdriver provided for t ightening screws. 2. The tightening torque must be 0.294 N•m or less. If the applied torque cannot be accurately measured, stop tightening when the f orce required to turn t he screw becomes significantly greater th an that needed when first tightening.
