1 Section 1 Configuration CAUTION Use an IC149-100- 054-B51 socket (manuf actured by YAMAICH I ELECTRONICS Co., Ltd.) for the FP-100B/ TFP-100B package IC socket on the user system. Figure 1 shows the configuration of the HS 3064BEC H61H user sys tem interface cable for the FP-100B/ TFP-100B package.
2 Table 1 list s the HS3064BEC H61H components. Pleas e make sure you have all of these components when unpacking. 3 Section 2 Connection Procedures 2.1 Connecting User System Interfa ce Cable to Emulator Station W ARNING Observe the precautions listed below. Failure t o do so will result in a FIRE HAZARD and will damage the user system and the emulator product or will result in PERSONAL INJURY.
4 2. After making sure the directi on of the cable body connector is correct, fi rmly insert the cable body connector into the emulator s tation socket, and fas ten the emulator st ation with two C TS screw (M3 x 6 mm) (figure 2).
5 2.2 Connecting User System Int erface Cable to User System W ARNING Always switch OFF the user syst em and the emulator product before the USER SYSTEM INTERFACE CABLE is connected to or removed from any part . Before connecting, make sure that pin 1 on bot h sides are correctly aligned.
6 2.2.3 Inserti ng Cable Head CAUTION Check the location of pin 1 before inserting. Align pin 1 on t he IC socket for an FP -100B/TFP-100B package on the user syst em with pin 1 on the user system interface cable h ead, and ins ert the user system interface cable head into the IC socket on the user s ystem, as shown i n figure 3.
7 Fasten the user s ystem interf ace cable head to the IC socket for an FP -100B/TFP-100B package on the user syst em with the four screws (M2.6 x 12 mm; with four flat was hers) provided. Each screw should be tightened a little at a time, altern ating between screws on opposing corners.

14 Section 4 Verifying Operation 1. Start up the emulator according to the pro cedures described in the H8/3048 Group, H8/3052 Group, H8/3062 Group, H8/ 3067 Group, H8/3007 Group E6000 Emulator U ser's Manual (HS3064BEP I61HE).
15 Section 5 Notice 1. Make sure that pin 1 on the user s ystem IC socket i s correctly aligned wit h pin 1 on the cable head before inserting t h e cable head into the us er system IC s ocket. 2. The dimensions of the recommended mount pad for t he user system IC s ocket are different from those of the MCU .
16 6. The P1 jumper is us ed for testing. A j umper pin is insert ed in pin 1 side. Do not remove the inserted jumper pin. CAUTION Insert the jumper pin in pin 3 side for P4 jumper when pin 10 of the MC U is not used as RESO . Otherwise the user system interface cable, the emul ator product, and the user system will be damaged.
