To avoid possible electric shock, be sure electricity is tur ned off at the main power box before wiring.
W ARNINGS : * Disconnect power by removing fuse or turning off circuit breaker before installing the fan and/or optional lighting. * Support dir ectly from building structur e.
1. Unpack your fan and check the contents. Do not discard the car ton. If warranty replacement or r epair is ever necessar y , the fan should be returned in original packing. Remove all par ts and hardwar e. Do not lay motor housing on its side, or the decorative housing may shift, be bent or damaged.
P REP ARA TION : V erify that you have all parts before beginning the installation. Check foam insert closely for missing par ts. Remove motor fro m packing. T o avoid damage to finish, assemble motor on soft padded surface or use the original foam inset in motor box.
A SSEMBL Y I NSTRUCTIONS : D OWNROD , CANOPY , AND COLLAR COVER 1. Carefully suppor t fan housing (motor) in its styrofoam packing with the mounting collar (wher e the wires come out) facing upward. 2. Remove ball from downr od by loosening set screw in the side of the ball.
6 I NST ALLING T HE F AN W ARNING: To avoid damaging the blade arms and blades, do not install blades onto fan until fan is fastened to ceiling. If arms are bent or misaligned, excessive wobble may occur . 1. Lift ball/downrod/fan into hanger bracket opening.

1. Place fiber washer on screw . Insert this assembly through the blade and start the scr ew into the blade arm. Repeat this procedur e without tightening the screw until all 3 scr ews have been started into the blade arm (Fig. 1). 2. T ighten each screw , starting with center scr ew .
9 I NST ALLA TION OF R EMOV ABLE S WITCH H OUSING NOTE: Be sure the power is of f before installing. 1. Loosen the 3 side screws on switch housing hub halfway . 2. If installing light kit, carefully r emove light kit plug in bottom of switch housing. Attach light kit to switch housing per instructions supplied with light kit.

3. After you have preset the code selectors, inser t the terminal connector from the fan motor into the terminal connector inside the receiver (Fig. 2).
Forward/Reverse Dir ection: Forwar d is a counterclockwise r otation of the blades when viewed from beneath the fan. This will cr eate a downward br eeze that can be felt below the fan. This is the normal direction for the fan to run when the weather is warm.
