4 2 0. Never leave the treadmill unattended while it is running. Always remove the key, unplug the power cord, and switch the reset/off cir- cuit breaker to the off position when the treadmill is not in use. (See the drawing on page 5 for the location of the circuit breaker.

6 ASSEMBL Y T o hire an authorized service technician to assemble the treadmill, call 1-800-445-2480. Assembly requires two persons. Set the treadmill in a cleared area and remove all packing materials. Do not dispos e of the p acki ng ma teri als u nti l asse mbly i s com plet ed.
7 2. Attach a Wheel (90) to the Base (60) with a 3/8" x 2" Bolt (3) and a 3/8" Locknut (11). Do not overtighten the Locknut; the Wheel must turn freely. See the inset drawing. Cut the plastic tie near the Upright Wire (86). 60 3 11 2 90 1 .
8 4. Press a Base Cap (85) into the Base (60). Hold a Bolt Spacer (84) inside the lower end of the Right Upright (79). Insert a 3/8" x 4" Bolt (5) with a 3/8" Star Washer (12) into the Right Upright and the Bolt Spacer. Repeat this step with a second Bolt Spacer (84), 3/8" x 4" Bolt (5), and 3/8" Star Washer (12).
9 6. Press a Base Cap (85) into the Base (60). Hold a Bolt Spacer (84) inside the lower end of the Left Upright (77). Insert a 3/8" x 4" Bolt (5) with a 3/8" Star Washer (12) into the Left Upright and the Bolt Spacer. Repeat this step with a second Bolt Spacer (84), 3/8" x 4" Bolt (5), and 3/8" Star Washer (12).
10 8. Insert the end of a Crosswalk Arm (98) into the hole in the top of a resistance mechanism. Make sure that the bend in the Crosswalk Arm is positioned as shown. Tighten a #8 x 3/4" Screw (1) into the resistance mechanism and the Crosswalk Arm (98) from the direction shown.
1 1 11. Hav e a se con d per so n hol d the console assem- bly near the Right Upright (79). Connect the Upright Wire (86) to the console wire. See the inset drawing. The connectors should slide together easily and snap into place. If they do not, turn one connector and try again.
12 12. Be careful not to pinch the wires in the Right Handrail (105). Attach the console assembly to the Right H andrail (105) with two #8 x 3/4" Screws (1), a 1/4" x 1 1/4" Bolt (6), and a 1/4" Star Washer (10). Repeat this step on the left side of the console assembly.
13 15. Make sure that all parts are properly tightened before you use the treadmill. If there are sheets of clear plastic on the treadmill decals, remove the plastic. To protect the floor or carpet, place a mat under the tread- mill. Note: Extra hardware may be included.
14 OPERA TION AND ADJUSTMENT T HE PRE-LUBRICATED WALKING BELT Your treadmill features a walking belt coated with high- performance lubricant. IMPORTANT: Never apply sil- i cone spray or other substances to the walking belt or the walking platform. Such substances will deteriorate the walking belt and cause excessive wear.
15 FEATURES OF THE CONSOLE The treadmill console offers a selection of features designed to make your workouts more effective. When the manual mode of the console is selected, the speed and inc line of t he trea dmill c an be cha nged wi th the touch of a button.
16 HOW TO TURN ON THE POWER IMPORTANT: If the treadmill has been exposed to c old temperatures, allow it to warm to room tem- perature before turning on the power. If you do not d o this, you may damage the console displays or other electrical components.
17 4. Change the incline of the treadmill as desired. To change the incline of the treadmill, press the I ncline increase and decrease buttons or one of the numbered Quick Incline buttons. Each time you p ress the Incline increase or decrease button, the incline will change by 0.
18 HOW TO USE A PRESET WORKOUT 1. Insert the key into the console. See HOW TO TURN ON THE POWER on page 1 6. 2. Select one of the preset workouts. To select one of the sixteen preset work- outs, press the Workout Select button below the desired workout repeatedly until the de- sired workout appears in the upper display.
19 HOW TO USE AN IFIT WORKOUT To purchase iFit cards, go to www.iFit.com or call the t elephone number on the front cover of this manual. iFit cards are also available at select stores. 1. Insert the key into the console. See HOW TO TURN ON THE POWER on page 16.
20 THE INFORMATION MODE The console features an information mode that keeps t rack of treadmill usage information. The information mode also allows you to select miles or kilometers as t he unit of measurement and to turn on and turn off the demo mode.

22 TROUBLESHOOTING M ost treadmill problems can be solved by following the steps below. Find the symptom that applies, and follow the steps listed. If further assistance is needed, please see the front cover of this manual. PROBLEM: The power does not turn on SOLUTION: a.
23 Remove t he three # 8 x 3/4" Screws (1) and care- fully pivot the Motor Hood (63) off. Locate the Reed Switch (68) and the Magnet (48) on the left side of the Pulley (47). Turn the Pulley until the Magnet is aligned with the Reed Switch. Make sure that the gap between the Magnet and the Reed Switch is about 1/8 in.
24 PROBLEM: The walking belt is off-center or slips when walked on SOLUTION: a. If the walking belt is off-center, first remove the k ey and UNPLUG THE POWER CORD.
