14 Video Game Console Using the audio/video inputs If you connect the unit to camcorder or a TV game, you can select by pressing INPUT SELECT . Press INPUT SELECT repeatedly to select the desired mode. “LINE1”, “LINE2” or TV channel will display on the screen for 4 seconds.
15 Setting the language Y ou can choose from three different languages (English, French and Spanish) for the on-screen displays. NOTES: • Both the TV/VCR and the DVD have their own menu option (See page 52). • If no buttons are pressed for more than 60 seconds, the MENU screen will return to normal TV -operation automatically .
16 The Auto Clock function will automatically set the built-in clock (Month, Day , Y ear and Time) when the unit is connected to an Antenna or Cable system and it is turned off. As the unit searches for a receivable sta- tion in your area and it receives a broadcast signal for Auto Clock, the Auto Clock needs several minutes to set itself.
17 TO SET ST ANDARD TIME In the rare event that you live within broadcast range of two stations in two different time zones, the unit may recognize the wrong station for the Auto Clock set. To correct the situation: 1 Press TV MENU . 2 Press or to select “SYSTEM SETUP”, then press ENTER .

27 To set the on timer EXAMPLE: T urning on the TV to channel 12 at 7:00 AM, MON- DA Y -FRIDA Y . This feature allows you to have the unit automatically turn on at a prede- termined time. If you program the ON TIMER once, the unit will turn on on the programmed day (daily/weekly) at the same time to the same channel.

43 Disc This unit applies to DVD discs from Region 1 only . The loaded Disc (DVD, Audio-CD and mp3-CD) will be recognized automatically . The suitable Disc-formats are: DVD, CD-R and CD-RW . Some CD-R/RW discs may be incompatible. W ARNING Do not attempt to play DVD-ROM, DVD-Audio, CDV , Video-CD, CD-G or Photo CD.
44 Preparation / Status display of disc NOTE: If the unit does not operate properly: Static electricity , etc., may affect the play- er's operation. Disconnect the AC power cord once, then connect it again. DVD T C Audio CD To make status display disappear , press DISPLA Y/CALL again.
45 Playback procedure 6 Press OPEN/CLOSE or PLA Y . The disc tray closes auto- matically . On the TV -screen, changes to “ ” and then playback commences. • A menu screen will appear on the TV screen, if the disc has a menu feature. 1 Press DVD to select DVD mode.

47 3 mp3 playback This player can play back the mp3-data which has been recorded on CD-R or CD- RW. To produce the mp3-data, you need a Windows-PC with CD-ROM drive and a mp3- encoding Software (not supplied).
48 Zooming / Locating desired scene 1 NOTES: •Y ou can select the Pause, Slow or Search playback in the zoom mode. • Some discs may not respond to zoom feature. This unit will allow you to zoom in on the frame image. You can then make selections by switching the position of the frame.
