10 MOUNTING INSTRUCTIONS b) Fold the Mounting T emplate along the guideline that is closest to the thickness of your cabinet ov erhang. c) T ape Mounting T emplate to the underside of the cabinet with the f olded por tion of the Mounting T emplate ushup against the cabinetov erhang (see Figure 2).
11 e) Partially tighten each scre w , but do not fully tighten the screws until all of them hav e been star ted (see Figure 6). f) Gently tighten each screw until they are fir mly holding the unit in place. The top front edge of the unit should clear the ov erhang.
12 CONNECTIONS Connecting the TV Antenna Connect a TV antenna or CA TV cable or Satellite system to the TV antenna ter minal. Connecting the Unit to a TV or other Video Equipment Use the Video cable (not supplied). Connect the VIDEO OUT on the rear of the unit to the VIDEO IN on your TV or other video equipment.
13 MONITOR OPERATION Follo w the illustrations below to open the monitor . 1. Gently pull the monitor down from the back, and twist it cloc kwise so the screen is visible . 2. The screen can be tur ned up to 270 o . Do NOT f orce the screen once it stops turning.

17 PLAYING A DISC Angle Selection Some D VDs contain scenes which hav e been shot from a number of different angles. For these discs, the same scene can be viewed from each of these diff erent angles. 1. While you are playing a D VD with diff erent angles recorded, press the ANGLE button to view the number of current angles av ailable.
18 SPECIAL FUNCTION PLAYING A DISC Locating a Specific Title/Chapter If a D VD contains title/chapter numbers, you can locate a specific title/chapter by directly selecting a title/ chapter number .
19 Y ou can play a specific title, chapter or tr ack repeatedly . (Title repeat, chapter repeat, entire D VD repeat) Repeating a Chapter Y ou can play the same chapter repeatedly . While the disc is playing, press the REPEAT button repeatedly until the indicator displays on the screen.
20 PROGRAMMABLE MEMORY D VD Programmed Playbac k Y ou can combine your fa vorite titles/chapters and play them in the order y ou deter mine. 1. Press the MEMORY button in PLA Y/STOP mode. A screen will be shown as right. 2. Press the button to highlight the Title.
21 VIEWING JPEG FILES This unit can play JPEG files written to CD-R/R W discs. Viewing JPEG Files 1. Open the disc tra y . 2. Place a disc onto the disc tra y with the label side up. 3. Close the disc tra y . Slide show star ts automatically . 4. Press the button to displa y a f older list.
22 CUSTOMIZING THE FUNCTION SETTINGS System Setup 1. In ST OP mode, press the SETUP button. 2. Use the or button to select System Setup. 3. Press the / ENTER button to enter . 4. Use the or button to select Default item. 5. Press the / ENTER button to enter .
23 USING THE TV Connect a TV antenna or CATV cable or Satellite system to the TV antenna terminal before scanning for TV channels Scanning for TV Channels Automatically (Onl y appears to the first time power on ) 1. Connect the TV antenna. 2. Connect the AC po wer cord.
24 ATSC TV mode: Press the DISPLAY button, the upper window will pop up , then press the DISPLAY button again, the low er window will pop up . Press the DISPLAY button once to exit. NTSC TV mode: Press the DISPLAY button, the belo w window will pop up , then press the DISPLAY button once to exit.
25 Picture Setting 1. Press the TV MENU button. 2. Use the or button to select Picture. 3. Use the or button to select the options (Picture Mode / Contrast / Brightness / Color / Tint / Sharpness / Color Mode) . 4. Use the or button to make adjustment.
26 TV SETUP Time Setting 1. Press the TV MENU button. 2. Use the or button to select Time. 3. Press the button to enter the time settings . 4. Use the or button to make adjustment. 5. Use the or button to select the options (Time Zone , Daylight Saving Time or Clock).
27 TV SETUP CC Mode : Select closed caption On, Off, CC on Mute . Analog Closed Caption : Select the analog closed caption or turn it off. Digital Closed Caption : Select the digital closed caption or turn it off . Digital Caption Style: Select As Broadcaster to use the default digital caption style of the broadcaster .
28 Change Password: Enter ne w password and confirm it. (Remember your pass word!) System Lock : Select On to edit the f ollowing parental items. Select Off to disable parental control. US : Set TV and MP AA ratigns. Canada : Set Canada English and Canada F rench ratings.
29 LISTENING TO THE RADIO Presetting Stations The unit can store a total of 60 stations in memory (30 FM, 30 AM). Presetting allows you to tune in to a station directly .
