1 PRECAUTIONS T O A VOID POSSIBLE EXPOSURE T O EXCESSIVE MICROW A VE ENERGY (a) Do not attempt to operate this oven with the door-open since open-door operation can result in harmful exposure to microwave energy . It is important not to defeat or tamper with the safety interlocks.
2 IMPORT ANT SAFETY INSTR UCTIONS When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should be followed, including the following: W ARNING - T o reduce the risk of burns, electric shock, fire, and injury to persons or exposure to excessive microwave energy: 1.

4 Electrical Requirement s The electrical requirements are a 120 volt 60 Hz, AC only , 20 amp. It is recommended that a separate circuit serving only the oven be pr ovided. The oven is equipped with a 3-pron g grounding plug. It must be plugged into a wall re ceptacle that is properly installed and grounded.
5 · Glass and glass-ceramic bowls and dishes — Use for heating or cooking. · Paper plates and cup s — Use for short-term heating at low temperatures. Do not use recycled paper , which may contain metal and could ignite. · W ax paper — Use as a cover to prevent spattering.
6 COOKING TECHNIQUES Y our microwave makes cooking easier than con ventional cooking, provided you keep these considerations in mind: Stirring S tir foods such as casseroles and vegetables while cooki ng to distribute heat evenly . Food at the outside of the dish absorbs more energy and heats more quickly , so stir from the outside to the center .
