Charger Charger Plug Charger Port Remove contents from box. Remove the foam separators that protect the components from damage during shipping. Inspect the contents of the box for scratches in the paint, dents or kinked cables that may have occurred during shipping.
3 ASSEMBL Y AND SET -UP ❑ Attaching the Handleba rs W ARNING: Failure to properly tighten the wedge may allow the handlebars to dislodge while riding and may cause you to lose control and fall. When correctly tightened, the handlebars will not rotate out of alignment with the front wheel under normal circumstances.
❑ Adjusting the Handleb ar Height ❑ Riding Y our Scooter T esting the Brakes – T o use the brakes, squeeze the front and back brake levers to increase the pressure on the brake. The brake lever is fi tted with a cable adjuster to compensate for cable stretch and/or to fi ne-tune the lever movement to brake engagement.
5 REP AIR AND MA INTENANCE 1 Use the special valve extender/adapter supplied. The valve adap ter is located in the bag with the owners manual supplied at the time of purchase. 2 Align the access hole in the drive sprocket with the tire valve. Thread the adapter completely onto the valve and attach the pump.
6 REP AIR AND MA INTENANCE ❑ Adjusting the Chain Tools required: 10 mm wrench, two (2) 8 mm wrenches , and two (2) 1 7 mm wrenches . 1 U sing two 17mm wrenches, l oosen the rear axle bolts by turning the wrenches counter clockwise.
7 REP AIR AND MA INTENANCE ❑ Chain and R ear T ire Replacement Tools required: Phillips screwdriver , 10 mm wrench, two (2) 8 mm wrench es , and two (2) 1 7 mm wrenches . 1 W ith a Phillips screwdr iver , l oosen the two screws and remove the chain guard.
8 REP AIR AND MA INTENANCE 10 Install the axle adjusters and axle nuts. T ighten until they just barely hold the hardware in place. 11 T ighten both axle adjust- ers the same number of turns to fi ne-tune the tension on the chain and to approximately maintain the centering of the wheel.
9 REP AIR AND MA INTENANCE 1 (E100 Only) Loosen the brake pad bolt and remove one brake pad. ❑ Front T ire Replacement Tools required: 10 mm wrench, two (2) 1 7 mm wrenches and a fl athead screwdriver . 2 U sing two 17mm wrenches, l oosen the front axle bolts by turning the wrenches counter clockwise.
10 ❑ Battery Care and Disp osal Do not store the battery in temperatures above 75° or below -10° F . CONT AINS SEALED LEAD BA TTERY . BA TTERY M UST B E RECYCLED. Disposal: Y our Razor product uses sealed lead-acid batteries which must be recycled or disposed of in an environmentally sound manner .
