13 Chapter 2: Installing the Display Unit T he A60 display unit is waterproof to IPX-7 an d can be installed either abo ve or below deck using ei ther the mounting bra ck et or by flush mount ing into the console . 2.1 Mounting Note: The mounting bracket a nd the mount frame to which the bracket attaches must be removed prior to flush m ounting.

Adjust the unit angle for clea r vision and tighten the knobs . Flush Mounting Flush mounting your displa y on the console requires the optional E36017 Flush Mount Kit.

16 A60 Installation Manual . Making the Cable Connections T he cable connections are located on the ba ck of the display unit as shown below: Pow er Input Cable (R08003) T his 1.5m (5 ft) cable is supplied fo r connecting to your bo at’ s DC power supply .
Chapter 2: Installing the Display Unit 17 Pow er Supply T he A60 is intended for use on boat’ s DC power systems ra ted from 10.7 to 18 VDC. T he power connection to t he unit should be made at eith er the output of the battery is olator switch or at a DC power dist ribution panel.
18 A60 Installation Manual Use commonly practiced methods to determine prop er wire gauge based on wire length, curr ent, and wire tables . Y ou may also trim t he power cable supplied wi th the A60 to reduce overall wire length. Only use enough wire to connect the unit to the power source, including a service loop.

Chapter 4: Maintenance 25 Settings Reset T he factory reset will set all values back to th eir original facto ry settings. T he W aypoint and Rout e List databases are n ot reset. T here are two ways to carry out a Settings Reset: using hardware k e ys or via the System Setup Menu.
