- 7 - 2.2 MICROPHONE The push-to-talk switch on the microphone controls th e receiver and transmitter. Press the switch and the transmitter is activated, re lease switch to receive. W hen transmitting, hold the microphone two inches from your mouth and speak clearly in a norma l voice.
