1 Thank you f or buying this cooker . I t should give y ou many years of trouble-free cooking if installed and operated correctly . It is impor tant that you read this section befor e you start, par ticularly if you have not used a dual fuel c ooker before .
2 DO NO T use a steam cleaner on your c ooker . Always be c er tain that the controls ar e in the OFF position when the oven is not in use , and before att empting to clean the cooker . When the ov en is on, DO NO T leave the o ven door open for longer than necessary – otherwise, the control knobs ma y become very hot.

T urn the control knob to the OFF position and wait for one minut e before y ou tr y again, this time making sure to hold in the control knob for slightly longer .

It is designed for c ook ing food on dir ectly. DO NO T use pans of any kind on it. The griddle surface is non-stick and metal cooking utensils (e.
6 The Multifunction Oven The oven is a multifunction ov en (Fig . 2.12) . In addition to conv ection elements around the fans, it is tted with extra heating elements, in the t op of the oven and under the ov en base. T ake care to avoid t ouching the top elements when placing or removing items fr om the oven.

K ey Lock When the key lock is activated, the clock can be opera ted as usual but the oven is locked and will not come on.

12 Stor age The bottom dra wer is for storing ov en trays and other cooking utensils. It can get ver y warm, so do not store an ything in it that may melt or catch re . Never store ammable ma terials in the drawer . This includes paper , plastic and cloth items, such as cookbooks, plastic ware and to wels, as well as ammable liquids.

17 Self-Clean O v en W ARNING! Remove all c ookware , shelves, and the shelf supports from the oven before using the self -clean function. If the shelves and suppor ts are left in the oven the y will discolour and become rough. W ARNING ! Using the self-cleaning function results in higher temperatur es than those for normal cooking.
18 When the door has unlocked turn the oven function contr ol back to OFF . When the door has unlocked and the oven has c ooled, use a damp cloth the clean the debris and ash. 19 Cleaning T able Cleaners listed are av ailable from supermarkets or electrical retailers as stated (T able 5.2) . F or enamelled sur faces use a cleaner that is approv ed for use on vitreous enamel. Regular cleaning is recommended. F or easier cleaning, wipe up any spillages immediately .
20 Cooktop ignition or c ooktop burners faulty Is the power on? Are the sparker (ignition electrode) or burner holes blocked by debris? Are the burner heads correctly located? See the section entitled ‘Cleaning ’ . Remember that each cooktop burner has a special ame safety device (FSD) that st ops the ow of gas if the ame goes out.
