1 Y our cooker should give you many y ears of trouble-free cooking if installed and operated correctly . I t is impor tant that you read this section befor e you start, par ticularly if you have not used a dual fuel cooker bef ore . Impor tant! This appliance is designed f or domestic cooking only .
2 Ac cessible parts will become hot during use and will retain heat ev en after you hav e stopped cooking. Keep babies and childr en away fr om the cooker and never w ear loose -tting or hanging clothes when using the appliance .

Keep holding the knob pressed in to let the gas through to the burner for about ten seconds.
5 The Griddle The griddle ts the left-hand pan support, front to back (Fig . 2.11) . It is designed for cooking food on directly . DO NOT use pans of any kind on it. The griddle surface is non-stick and metal cooking utensils (e.g. spa tulas) will damage the sur face.
6 The Multifunction Ovens Both ovens are multifunction ov ens. In addition to the element around the fan, it is tted with extra heating elements, in the top of the o ven and under the oven base . T ake care to av oid touching the top elements when placing or removing items fr om the oven.
7 F anned Grilling This function operates the fan while the top element is on. It produces a more even, less er ce heat than a conv entional grill. F or best results place the food to be grilled on the pan provided .
8 The Ov ens The clock must be set to the time of day bef ore the left- hand oven will w ork. See the following section on ‘The Clock’ for instructions on setting the time of day . The clock only controls the left-hand ov en. References to ‘ left-hand’ and ‘right-hand’ ovens apply as viewed from the front of the appliance .

16 C ontrol P anel and Doors Av oid using any abrasiv e cleaners including cream cleaners. F or best results, use a liquid deter gent. The same cleaner can be used on the doors, or alternativ ely , using a soft cloth wrung out in clean hot soapy water – but take care that no surplus water seeps in to the appliance.
17 Removing the Right-hand Oven S helf Suppor ts T o clean the oven sides , slide out the shelves, unhook the shelf supports from the oven sides (Fig . 5.9) , and lift out. Ret in reverse , making sure that the bottom of the shelf supports are inser ted into the holes at the bottom of the oven (F ig.
18 Cleaning T able Cleaners listed (T able 5.1) are available from supermarkets or electrical retailers as stated. F or enamelled sur faces use a cleaner that is approv ed for use on vitreous enamel. Regular cleaning is recommended. F or easier cleaning, wipe up any spillages immediately .
