48 2. DESCRIPTION The machines in the EPOCA series hav e been desi- gned to prepare e xpress coffee and hot be v erages. A positive-displacement pump inside the machine pow ers the heater in which the water is heated. By pressing the appropr iate b uttons, water is supplied to the spouts in the f or m of hot water or steam, ac- cording to needs.

53 8. USE The machine has a top shelf on which the cups are kept and heated, ready f or use . This is very impor tant to obtain good coffee as the pre-warmed cup stops the coff ee from growing cold too quickly .
54 9. ADJUSTMENT AND SETTING OF THE DOSE (where av ailable) 9.1. Models E1 It is possible to adjust the dose of coff ee dispensed E1 models. 9.1.1. Adjusting the dose The coffee dose adjustments are made by acting on the group ke yboads with machine at rated pres- sure.
