LPY 2 • 4 INTR ODU CTI ON This small log periodic antenna, which we call the ‘ Logi’, is ideal for getting the maximum performance out of any UHF to lo w frequency microwave wireless system. Its directional pr operties “com pres ses” the signal into a powerful beam that is 4 times more powerful in the desired direction.
LPY 2 • 5 STANDARD HOOK-UP Normal applications are well suited by the default performance of the unit without the need for cumbersome reflective elements. The standard w iring configuration is simply to use the Logi as the co mplete antenna and merely add a means of connection for your radio.
LPY 2 • 6 LOGI LOW FREQUE NCY MODIFICATION If your radio system requires DC isolati on or y ou pl an to use y our Lo gi below 900 MHz, the small conne cting traces nea r the rear of the antenna shou ld be cut. B y removing these traces y ou c an extend the eff ective frequency range down to 825 MHz.
