9 ATTACHING THE HEADSET HOLDER Put the headset holder into the slot on the back of the base and slide it into place. ADJUSTING T HE HEADSET 1. Put on the h eadset , and adjust the band unt il i t r ests with almost no pres- sure on your ear and the top of your head.
10 SETTI NG THE DIALING MO DE Set T ONE-PULSE on the si de of the ba se for the type of service you have. If you are not sure which type you have, do this sim- ple test after c ha rging th e battery. 1. Set POWER to ON . 2. Set TONE-PULSE to TONE . 3.

12 CHANGING CH ANNELS Your head set cordless telephone has an Auto Scan feature that autom atically se- lects a clear channel whe n y o u press T ALK/HANG UP . If you experience inter- f er en c e du ri n g a c a ll , pr es s CHANNEL to switch to another chann el until you ha ve good reception.
13 USIN G PRIVACY Hold down PRIV ACY to tal k to som eone else in the room without the person on the other end of the phone line he aring your conversat ion. You can still hear the per- son on the other end of the phone line. Release PRIV ACY to r e sume your ph one conversat ion.
14 MEMORY DIALI NG You can store up t o 10 numbers of up to 16 digits. Notes: • T o keep your accoun ts secure, we recommend you do n ot s tore your personal ac cess code for s erv i ces such as bank-by-phon e in a mem ory location.
15 • T o change a number stored in mem- ory , simply store a new number in that memo r y l oc at i on . • T o clear a me mory location so no numbe r i s sto r e d there, press MEM- ORY t wice , then press the memory lo- cation number . A long bee p sound s, and the number is cleared from mem- ory .
16 T ROUBLES HOOTING We do not e xpect you to have any problem s with your phone, but if you do, the following suggestions m ight help. If you still have problems, take the phone to y our local Ra- dioShack store for assistanc e. SYMPTOM SUGGESTION Interference is severe.

19 REPLACING THE BATTERY PACK If you follow the instructions in “Connect- ing and Ch arging the Batte r y P ack” on Page 7, the battery pack should last about a year. If the battery pack does not hold a charge for more than 2 h ours after an ov ernight charge, replace the battery pack with a new 3.
