5 Features ˆ Features Your RadioShack 900 MHz Cordless Phone offers the latest advances in cordless phone technology. It combines a cordle ss phone and a Caller ID unit in one system. It saves up to 40 Caller ID records that you can re- view and call back.
6 Installation ˆ Installation MOUNTING THE PHONE You can place th e phone on a d esk or table, or mount it on a standard wall plate or direct- ly on a wall.
7 Installation Directly On a W all For this mounting method, you need tw o screws (not supplied) with heads tha t fit into the keyhole slots on the bottom of the base. 1. Drill two holes 3 15 / 16 inches (1 00 mm) apart. Then thread a screw into each hole, letting the heads extend about 3 / 16 inch (4 mm) from the wall.
8 Installation • If the battery pack becomes completely discharged or the base lo ses power while the handset is away from it, plac e the handset on the base for about 5 sec- onds to reset the security access protec- tion code. If the handset lo ses power , leave it on the ba se to charge the bat- tery pack.
9 Operation ˆ Operation A QUICK LOOK AT THE HANDSET REDIAL — To quickly redial the l ast number di- aled, press TA L K then REDIAL /CALLBACK . To redial a busy number, press REDIAL/ CALLBACK without hanging up the phone.
10 Operation STORING Y OUR AREA CODE To dial a number from a Caller ID record (see “Dialing a Numbe r from a Caller ID Record” on Page 13), you must first store your local area code in the phone’s memory. Then, when you dial from a Caller ID record, the system skips the area code if it matches the one you stored.

12 Operation Chain Dialing Service Numbers For quick recall of numb ers for special ser- vices (such as alternate long distance or bank by phone), store each group of num- bers in its own memory location. When calling special services, di al the ser- vice’s main number first.
13 Operation Reviewing Caller ID Records Each time you receive a call, your system stores a Caller ID record that you can revie w later, even during a call.
14 Operation Press FUNC three times to dial the long distance prefix and local number (1-555- 1212). Press FUNC four time s to dial the area code and local n umber (604-555-1212). 4. Press RE DIAL/CALL BACK . The system dials the caller ’s phone number .
