This lets you avoid un neces sary char ges when calling by long di stance to check you r messages. If you hear more than two rings, you know you can han g up becau se the syst em has no n ew message s.

Remot e Operatio n 17 D ELETING M ESSAGES You can delete me ssages individu ally during p layback , or all at once after playback. To de lete a part icular incomi ng message , memo, or two -way pho ne conversa tion (after l istening to it) , press DELETE during play back.
