2 3 How HD Radio w orks HD Radio produces a smooth, natural response and room-fi lling sound that belies its compact size. HD Radio stations can broadcast data (ar tist and song information, weather , traffi c, and more) and multiple channels at their same, familiar position on the radio dial.
4 5 Quick Star t Connecting Y our R adio T o avoid interference , k eep the pow er supply awa y from the radio while in use . Cable R adio Signals The Radio ’ s FM antenna connector is a standard F-connector and will accept cable FM feeds from most cable syst ems that provide FM pr ogramming .
4 5 Connecting Headphones Inser t the headphones plug int o the stereo minijack on the front of the radio . Connecting headphones mutes the speakers. Note: The headphone jack can be used as stereo output to another syst em. Y our R adio Controls Headphones POWER Press t o turn the radio on or off .

6 7 Seeking When you hold down the T une - / + buttons , the radio scans for the next av ailable station. Mode When you change the radio ’ s mode, the station information appears, or AUX IN for auxiliary input mode.
8 9 Y our Remot e Control T o use your remote control the fi rst time , pull the plastic tab out of the battery compar tment. Y our remote control helps y ou access your radio ’ s features from a distance . CL OCK Press t o toggle between station information and dat e / time information.
8 9 Replacing the R emote Control Batter y T o replace the batter y , use your thumb to push the battery compar tment locking tab to the right and pull the compar tment open. Inser t the battery with the positive side (+) up and carefully close the compartment until it clicks.
10 11 The Basics Setting the Clock T o set your radio ’ s clock, complete the follo wing steps: 1. T urn on your radio. 2. Pr ess and hold the CL OCK button until the time display appears with the hour blinking. 3. Use the TUN - / + buttons to set the hour and press the CL OCK button.
