-6- G B N L F 3.1 Attaching the backrest The child seat is composed of a seat cushion 1 and a backrest 2 with an adjustable head rest 3 . The comina tion provides yo ur child with the de sired protectio n and comfort. Þ Place the back rest 2 evenly beh ind the seat cus hion 1 .
N L G B F 3.2 Adjusting the height of the headre st Danger! Do not use the chi ld seat when it is f ree standing, even to te st it out. Caution! The backr est 2 may tip backward. Alw ays place the child seat on the vehic le seat befo re having your child sit down in it.
-8- G B N L F Þ Have your child sit do wn in the child seat and chec k the height. Caution! Repeat this process until the headres t 3 is at the optimal height. 3.3 Attaching the backrest The backr est 2 of the child s eat adapt s smoothly to the slant o f the vehic le seat.

Do not inclin e the backrest 2 farther than spe cified by the displa cement angle 9 . 3.4 Securing your child The RÖMER KID does not require instal lation in th e vehicle.
