Be sure the radar detector is properly installed in your pr eferred location – on the windshield, the visor , or the dashboard of your v ehicle. 2. Press and hold the BACKLIGHT and MUTE butt ons simultaneously for 2 seconds until you hear the radar detector beep once.

In the “END MUTE” mode, the radar detector automatically lowers the audio aler t level to the ambient noise level in your vehicle when it detects a continuous signal for 5 seconds or more.
