With the Set Log comman d, you can filter the event s to be recorded by component, specific port s, and severity level.

3 – Event Messages Alarm Events 59060-05 A 3-5 A (A1003.0010) (Segmenting, zoneset zone_ set_name not defined) Meaning: In non-interop mode, there is a co nflict in the zoning configuration, causing the Inter-Switch Link (ISL) to isola te. The zone set is not found within the local zoning dat a base while interop mode is disabled.

Action: Check the status of th e switch given by d omain_ID . (A1003.0017) (Activation of zoneset by management server failed due to port port_number out of range.

Action: Modify the zoning database o n the remote switch to remove or correct the empty zone set.

Action: Configure one of the switches to be the p rincipal switch by changing the principal priority .

Action: Check the device connection or repla ce the device. If the problem persists, cont act your authorized main tenance provider .

3 – Event Messages Alarm Events 59060-05 A 3-25 A (A1005.004E) (Attempt s to login bac kend switch fail because backend switch does not support NPIV .) Meaning: The backend fabric switch does not support N_Port ID Virtualizat ion (NPIV), which in turn brings down the TF_Port.

3 – Event Me ssages Alarm Events 3-32 59060-05 A S (A1006.0006) (Zoning conflict, device_ WWN and device_WWN do not share an ACL hard zone, but device_WWN share a sof t zone) Meaning: The named zone members cannot commu nicate because they are members of dif ferent ACL hard zones.

3 – Event Messages Alarm Events 59060-05 A 3-39 A (A1007.0030) (Security protocol not using cha p, unable to authenticate.) Meaning: A Challenge Handshake Authen tication Protocol (CHAP) negotiate frame was received that specifies an unsupported Dif fie-Helmann (DH) group type.
3 – Event Me ssages Alarm Events 3-40 59060-05 A S (A1007.0036) (Port t aken offline du e to port binding failure following configuration change.) Meaning: A configuration change was mad e to the port binding list such that the device(s) on the port were no longe r allowed to be logged in.

Meaning: The firmware image was bei ng upd ated on the secondary CPU when a hot reset was attempted. Action: W ait for the firmwa re update to complete, then retry the hot reset.

The descrip tion field will show the reason for link st atus. Informative Event s Informative event s are events t hat occur in the normal activities of a fabric.

This can be caused by two use rs attempting to configure the switch or zoning dat abase at the same time.

The description field will show the reason for fabric st atus. (I) (8F00.000D) Switch S t atus status Meaning: The severity of the switch st atus has changed.
