4 2 0. Never leave the treadmill unattended while it is running. Always remove the key, unplug the power cord, and switch the reset/off cir- cuit breaker to the off position when the treadmill is not in use. (See the drawing on page 5 for the location of the circuit breaker.

6 ASSEMBL Y T o hire an authorized service technician to assemble the treadmill, call 1-800-445-2480. Assembly requires two persons. Set the treadmill in a cleared area and remove all packing materials. Do not dispos e of the p acki ng ma teri als u nti l asse mbly i s com plet ed.
7 2. Attach a Wheel (90) to the Base (60) with a 3/8" x 2" Bolt (3) and a 3/8" Locknut (11). Do not overtighten the Locknut; the Wheel must turn freely. Press a Base Cap (85) into the Base (60). 60 3 11 2 90 1 . Make sure that the power cord is unplugged.
8 4. Hold a Bolt Spacer (84) inside the lower end of the Right Upright (79). Insert a 3/8" x 4" Bolt (5) with a 3/8" Star Washer (12) into the Right Upright and the Bolt Spacer. Repeat this step with a second Bolt Spacer (84), 3/8" x 4" Bolt (5), and 3/8" Star Washer (12).
9 7. Orient the Crossbar (78) so that the indicated bump is in the position shown. Attach the Crossbar to the Left Upright (77) and the Right Upright (79) with four 1/4" x 5/8" Bolts (7); do not fully tighten the Bolts yet. 77 79 78 Bump 7 7 7 6.
10 9. Remove the two ties from the bracket on the Right Handrail (105). Have a second person hold the Right Handrail (105) near the Right Upright (79). Insert the Upright Wire (86) into the bottom of the Right Handrail (105) and pull it out of the hole in the top of the Right Handrail.
1 1 11. Be careful not to pinch the wires in the Right Handrail (105). Attach the console assembly to the Right Handrail (105) with two #8 x 3/4" Screws (1), a 1/4" x 1 1/4" Bolt (6), and a 1/4" Star Washer (10). Repeat this step on the left side of the console assembly.
12 14. Make sure that all parts are properly tightened before you use the treadmill. If there are sheets of clear plastic on the treadmill decals, remove the plastic. To protect the floor or carpet, place a mat under the tread- mill. Note: Extra hardware may be included.
13 OPERA TION AND ADJUSTMENT T HE PRE-LUBRICATED WALKING BELT Your treadmill features a walking belt coated with high- performance lubricant. IMPORTANT: Never apply sil- i cone spray or other substances to the walking belt or the walking platform. Such substances will deteriorate the walking belt and cause excessive wear.
14 FEATURES OF THE CONSOLE The treadmill console offers a selection of features designed to make your workouts more effective. When the manual mode of the console is selected, the speed and inc line of t he trea dmill c an be cha nged wi th the touch of a button.
15 HOW TO TU RN ON THE P OWER IMPORTANT: If the treadmill has been exposed to c old temperatures, allow it to warm to room tem- perature before turning on the power. If you do not d o this, you may damage the console displays or other electrical components.
16 4. Change the incline of the treadmill as desired. To change the incline of the treadmill, press the I nclin e increase and decrease buttons or one of the numbered Quick Incline buttons. Each time you p ress the Incline increase or decrease button, the incline will change by 0.
17 HOW TO USE A PRESET WORKOUT 1. Insert the ke y into the conso le. See HOW TO TURN ON THE POWER on page 1 5. 2. Select one of the preset workouts. To select one of the sixteen preset work- outs, press the Workout Select button below the desired workout repeatedly until the de- sired workout appears in the upper display.
18 HOW TO USE AN IFIT WORKOUT 1. Insert the key into the console. See HOW TO TURN ON THE POWER on page 1 5. 2. Insert an iFit card and select a workout. To use an iFit workout, insert an iFit card into the iFit slot; make sure that the iFit card is oriented so the metal contacts are face-down and are inserted into the iFit slot.
19 THE INF ORMAT ION MOD E The console features an information mode that keeps t rack of treadmill usage information. The information mode also allows you to select miles or kilometers as t he unit of measurement and to turn on and turn off the demo mode.

21 HOW TO LOWER THE TREADMILL FOR USE 1 . Hold the upper end of the treadmill with your right hand. Pull the latch knob to the left and hold it. It may be neces- sary to push the frame forward as you pull the knob to the left. Pivot the frame downward and release the latch knob.
22 TROUBLESHOOTING M ost treadmill problems can be solved by following the steps below. Find the symptom that applies, and follow the steps listed. If further assistance is needed, please see the front cover of this manual. PROBLEM: The power does not turn on SOLUTION: a.
23 Remove t he three # 8 x 3/4" Screws (1) and care- fully pivot the Motor Hood (63) off. Locate the Reed Switch (68) and the Magnet (48) on the left side of the Pulley (47). Turn the Pulley until the Magnet is aligned with the Reed Switch. Make sure that the gap between the Magnet and the Reed Switch is about 1/8 in.
24 PROBLEM: The walking belt is off-center or slips when walked on SOLUTION: a. If the walking belt is off-center, first remove the k ey and UNPLUG THE POWER CORD.
