4 2 0. Never leave the treadmill unattended while it is running. Always remove the key, unplug the power cord, and press the power switch into the off position when the treadmill is not in use. (See the drawing on page 5 for the lo- cation of the power switch.

7 1. Make sure that the power cord is unplugged. Place a piece of cardboard below the rear of the Frame (56) to protect the floor or carpet. Attach the Left Wheel Cap (96) to the Base (94) with two #8 x 3/4" Screws (2). Attach the Right Wheel Cap (not shown) to the right side of the Base (94) in the same way.
8 4. Hold th e Left Up right ( 89) aga inst th e Base (94). B e caref ul not to p inch t he wire s. Inse rt two 3/8 " x 2 3/4" Sc rews (7 ) and tw o 3/8" x 1 1/4" Sc rews (8 ) with t wo 3/8" S tar Was hers ( 13) into the Left Upright.
9 6. Cut the plastic ties in the Left Handrail (88) and the Right Handrail (not shown). If necessary, press the 5/16" Cage Nuts (31) back into place. Identify the Left Handrail (88) and hold it near the Left Upright (89). Insert the Upright Wire (81) through the bracket on the bottom of the Left Handrail.
10 8. Set the console assembly face down on a soft surface to avoid scratching the console assem- bly. Remove the two indicated Screws (A). Next, lift off the Crossbar (93).
1 1 11. Set the console assembly on the Left Handrail (88) and the Right Handrail (87). Be careful not to pinch any wires. Insert the excess Upright Wire (not shown) into the Left Handrail.
12 14. Hold the Left Upright Cover (79) against the console assembly. Align the holes in the Left Upright Cover with the holes in the Left Upright (89). Attach the Left Upright Cover with three #8 x 1/2" Screws (1). Attach the Right Upright Cover (80) to the Right Upright (90) in the same way.

14 19. Make sure that all parts are properly tightened before you use the treadmill. If there are sheets of plastic on the treadmill decals, remove the plastic. To protect the floor or carpet, place a mat under the treadmill. Note: Extra hardware may be included.
15 OPERA TION AND ADJUSTMENT H OW TO PLUG IN THE POWER CORD Your treadmill, like other electronic equipment, can be damaged by sudden voltage changes in your homeʼs power. To decrease the risk of damaging your treadmill, always use a surge suppressor with your treadmill (see drawing 1 at the right).
16 FEATURES OF THE CONSOLE The treadmill console offers an impressive array of features designed to make your workouts more effec- tive and enjoyable. When you use the manual mode, you can change the speed and incline of the treadmill with the touch of a button.
17 HOW TO TURN ON THE POWER IMPORTANT: If the treadmill has been exposed to c old temperatures, allow it to warm to room tem- perature before turning on the power. If you do not d o this, you may damage the console displays or other electrical components.
18 4. Change the incline of the treadmill as desired. To change the incline of the treadmill, press the I ncline increase or decrease button or one of the numbered Quick Incline buttons. Each time you p ress one of the buttons, the treadmill will gradu- ally adjust to the selected incline setting.
19 6. Measure your heart rate if desired. Before using t he handgrip heart rate m onitor, re- move the sheets of plastic from the metal con- tacts on the pulse bar.
20 HOW TO USE AN ONBOARD WORKOUT 1. Insert the ke y into the consol e. See HOW T O TURN ON TH E POWER on p age 17. 2. Select an onboard workout. To select an onboard workout, press the Calorie button, the Interval button, the Speed button, or the Endure button repeatedly until the desired workout appears in the display.
21 HOW TO USE AN IFIT LIVE WORKOUT Note: To use an iFit Live workout, you must have an o ptional iFit Live module. To purchase an iFit Live module at any time, go to www.iFit.com or call the t elephone number on the front cover of this man- ual. You must also have access to a computer with a USB port and an internet connection.
22 THE INFORMATION MODE The console features an information mode that keeps t rack of treadmill information and allows you to person- alize console settings. To select the information mode, hold down the Stop button while inserting the key into the console and then release the Stop button.
23 HOW TO USE THE STEREO SOUND SYSTEM To play music or audio books through the consoleʼs s tereo speakers, you must connect your MP3 player, CD player, or other personal audio player to the con- s ole through the audio jack. Plug one end of your audio wire into the audio jack on the console.

26 Locate the Reed Switch (52) and the Magnet (50) on the left side of the Pulley (49). Turn the Pulley until the Magnet is aligned with the Reed Switch.
27 SYMPTOM: The walking belt is off-center or slips when walked on a . If the walking belt is off-center, first remove the key and UNPLUG THE POWER CORD.

29 SUGGESTED STRETCHES The correct form for several basic stretches is shown at the right. Move slowly as you stretch—never bounce. 1. Toe Touch Stretch Stand with your knees bent slightly and slowly bend forward from your hips. Allow your back and shoulders to relax as you reach down toward your toes as far as possible.
