4 19. The treadmill is capable of high speeds. Adjust the speed in small increments to avoid s udden jumps in speed. 20 . Never leave the treadmill unattended while it is running. Always remove the key, unplug t he power cord, and switch the reset/off cir- cuit breaker to the off position when the treadmill is not in use.

7 2. Have a second person hold the Base (52) in the position shown. I dentify the Left Upright (53) (the Right Upright [54] has a large hole near the lower end).
8 5. See the left inset drawing. Identify the two Frame Spacers (11). Open the included packet of grease, and apply grease to both sides of both F rame Spacers.

11. Attach the ground wire on the Wire Harness (39) to the indicated hole in the Base (52) with an M4 x 10mm Ground Screw (84). 52 39 Ground Wire 11 84 Hole 10 10. Start two M8 x 15mm Bolts (8) with two M8 Star Washers (5) into the Uprights (53, 54). Then, firmly tighten all six M8 x 15mm Bolts used i n steps 9 and 10.
1 1 1 1 14. Make sure that all parts are properly tightened before you use the treadmill. Keep the included hex keys in a secure place. One hex key is used to adjust the walking belt (see page 20). To protect the floor or carpet, place a mat under the treadmill.
OPERA TION AND ADJUSTMENT T HE PRE-LUBRICATED WALKING BELT Your treadmill features a walking belt coated with high- performance lubricant. IMPORTANT: Never apply sil- i cone spray or other substances to the walking belt or the walking platform. Such substances will deteriorate the walking belt and cause excessive wear.
13 CONSO LE DIAG RAM FEATURES OF THE CONSOLE The treadmill console offers a selection of features designed to make your workouts more effective. When you select the manual mode of the console, you can change the speed and incline of the treadmill with the touch of a button.
14 HOW TO TU RN ON THE P OWER IMPORTANT: If the treadmill has been exposed to c old temperatures, allow it to warm to room tem- perature before turning on the power. If you do not d o this, you may damage the console displays or other electrical components.
15 The lower left display — As you exercise, the lower left display can s how the elapsed time, the distance that you h ave walked or run, and the incline level of the treadmill. The lower right display —The low er right displ ay can sh ow the speed of the walking belt and the approximate number of calories that you have burned.
16 HOW TO USE A SPEED WORKOUT 1. Insert the key into the console. See HOW TO TURN ON THE POWER on page 1 4. 2. Select one of the four speed workouts. To select a speed work- out, press the Workouts button repeatedly; “P 1,” “P 2,” “P 3,” “P 4” “P 5,” or “P 6” will appear in the upper display for a few seconds.
17 HOW TO USE THE SOUND SYSTEM To play music or audio books through the consoleʼs s ound system, you must connect your MP3 player, CD player, or other personal audio player to the console. L ocate the audio wire and plug it into the jack near the speaker.
18 HOW T O FOLD AND MOVE THE TREADMILL HOW TO FOLD THE TREADMILL FOR STORAGE Before folding the treadmill, adjust the incline to the l owest position. If you do not do this, you may damage the treadmill when you fold it. Remove the key and unplug the power cord.
19 TROUBLESHOOTING M ost treadmill problems can be solved by following the steps below. Find the symptom that applies, and follow the steps listed. If further assistance is needed, see the front cover of this manual. PROBLEM: The power does not turn on SOLUTION: a.
20 Locate the Reed Swit ch (89) and the Magnet (62) on the left side of the Pul ley (71). Turn the Pulle y until the Magnet is aligned wi th the Reed Switch. Make su re t hat the gap between t he Magnet and the Reed Switch is about 1/8 in . (3 mm). If necessary, lo osen t he M4.
