Set the treadmill in a cleared area and remove all packing materials. Do not dispose of the packing materials until assembly is completed.

12 1. Make sure that the power cord is unplugged. Remove the indicated #8 x 3/4" Screws (4) from the Pulse Receiver Cover (70) on the back of the Console (66). 2. Next, hold the receiver so that the small cylinder is oriented as shown. Attach the re- ceiver to the Pulse Receiver Cover (70) with the two included small screws.
13 HOW TO CONNECT AN ANTENNA Place an indoor VHF antenna or an outdoor combina- tion VHF/UHF an- tenna in the desired location. Outdoor antennas are sub- ject to weathering that can reduce sig- nal quality. Inspect your outdoor an- tenna and the lead- in wiring before connecting the an- tenna.
OPERA TION AND ADJUSTMENT THE PRE-LUBRICATED WALKING BELT Y our treadmill features a walking belt coated with high- performance lubricant. IMPORTANT: Never apply sil- icone spray or other substances to the walking belt or the walking platform. Such substances will deteriorate the walking belt and cause excessive wear.

HOW TO TURN ON THE POWER IMPORTANT: If the treadmill has been exposed to c old temperatures, allow it to warm to room tem- perature before turning on the power. If you do not d o this, you may damage the console displays or other electrical components.

HOW TO USE THE REMOTE CONTROL The first time you use the re- m ote control, insert batteries (see HOW TO REPLACE THE B ATTERIES IN THE REMOTE CONTROL at the right). Next, stand on the treadmill and hold the remote control near the television. Point the remote con- trol directly at the television.
HOW TO ADJUST THE TELEVISION SETTINGS You must use your remote control to adjust television s ettings. Press the Menu button to enter the main menu or to return to a previous menu.

THE INFORMATION MODE The console features an information mode that keeps t rack of the total distance that the walking belt has moved and the total number of hours that the treadmill h as been used. The information mode also allows you to select miles or kilometers to measure distance, and to turn on and turn off the display demo mode.

HOW TO LOWER THE TREADMILL FOR USE 1 . Hold the upper end of the treadmill with your left hand. Pull the latch knob to the left and hold it. Pivot the frame downward and release the latch knob. Note: To release the latch knob, it may be necessary to push the frame for- ward as you pull the latch knob to the left.
28 TROUBLESHOOTING M ost treadmill problems can be solved by following the steps below. Find the problem that applies, and follow the steps listed. If further assistance is needed, please see the front cover of this manual. PROBLEM: The power does not turn on SOLUTION: a.
29 Lower the treadmill (see HOW TO LOWER THE TREADMILL FOR USE on page 27). Remove the four indicated #8 x 3/4" Screws (4), and remove the Motor H ood (44). Next, locate the Reed Switch (20) and the Mag net (12) on the left side of the Pulley (11).
30 b. If the walking bel t slips when wa lked on, first r emove the key and UNP LUG THE POWER CO RD. Using the hex key, tu rn both idler ro ller bolts clo ckwise, 1/4 o f a turn. When t he walking bel t is correctly t ightened, you should be a ble to lift each e dge of the walki ng b elt 3 to 4 in.
31 PROBLEM: The remote control does not function correctly SOLUTION: a. Make sure you are standing on the treadmill, holding the remote control near the television and p ointing the remote control directly at the console.
