10 9. Attach the console assembly to the Uprights (85) with four 3/8" x 1 1/4" Bolts (72) and four 3/8" Star Washers (67) (only one side is shown). Start all four Bolts before tightening any of them. 67 72 85 Console Assembly 9 8. Remove the band securing the TV Cabl e (1 12 ) to the left Upright (85).
1 1 11. With the help of a second person, carefully lower the Uprights (85) to the position shown. Attach the Right Base Cover (86) with three #8 x 3/4" Screws (7) and two #8 x 2 1/4" Screws (63). Start all five Screws before tightening any of them.
12 1. Make sure that the power cord is unplugged. Remove the indicated #8 x 3/4" Screws (7) from the back of the Console Base (98). 2. While a second person holds the Console (105) away from the Console Base (98), connect the wire on the receiver to the indicated wire extend- ing from the Console.

OPERA TION AND ADJUSTMENT THE PRE-LUBRICATED WALKING BELT Y our treadmill features a walking belt coated with high- performance lubricant. IMPORTANT: Never apply sil- icone spray or other substances to the walking belt or the walking platform. Such substances will deteriorate the walking belt and cause excessive wear.

16 HOW TO TURN ON THE POWER IMPORTANT: If the treadmill has been exposed to c old temperatures, allow it to warm to room tem- perature before turning on the power. If you do not d o this, you may damage the console displays or other electrical components.

20 During each segment of the program, the console will compare your heart rate to the target heart rate setting for that segment. If your heart rate is too far b elow or above the target heart rate setting, the speed and/or incline will automatically increase or d ecrease to bring your heart rate closer to the tar- get heart rate setting.

25 THE INFORMATION MODE The console features an information mode that allows y ou to view treadmill usage information, select a sys- tem of measurement for the console, select an audio s etting for the personal trainer, and turn on and turn off the demo mode.
26 5. Press the Power button again and save chan- nels into the t elev isionʼ s memor y. W hen you press the Power button, the television will begin scanning all of the channels available in y our area. When no cable signal is detected on a channel, the channel will be skipped.

28 HOW TO LOWER THE TREADMILL FOR USE 1 . Hold the upper end of the treadmill with your right hand. Pull the latch knob to the left and hold it. Note: To release the latch knob, it may be necessary to push the frame for- ward as you pull the latch knob to the left.
29 TROUBLESHOOTING Most treadmill problems can be solved by following the steps below. Find the symptom that applies, and f ollow the steps listed. If further assistance is needed, please see the front cover of this manual. PROBLEM: The power does not turn on S OLUTION: a.

31 PROBLEM: The incline of the treadmill does not change correctly SOLUTION: a. With the key in the console, press one of the Incline buttons. While the incline is changing, re- m ove the key. After a few seconds, re-insert the key. The treadmill will automatically rise to the max imum i ncl ine le vel a nd th en ret urn t o the m inim um le vel .

33 SUGGESTED STRETCHES The correct form for several basic stretches is shown at the right. Move slowly as you stretch—never bounce. 1. Toe Touch Stretch Stand with your knees bent slightly and slowly bend forward from your hips. Allow your back and shoulders to relax as you reach down toward your toes as far as possible.
