3 1. Before beginning any exercise program, con- sult your physician. This is especially impor- tant for persons over age 35 or persons with pre-existing health problems. 2. It is the responsibility of the owner to ensure that all users of this treadmill are adequately informed of all warnings and precautions.
4 19. Never leave the treadmill unattended while it is running. Always remove the key, unplug the power cord, and switch the reset/off cir- cuit breaker to the off position when the treadmill is not in use. (See the drawing on page 5 for the location of the circuit breaker.

6 ASSEMBL Y T o hire an authorized service technician to assemble the treadmill, call 1-800-445-2480. Assembly requires two persons. Set the treadmill in a cleared area and remove all packing materials. Do not dispos e of the p acki ng ma teri als u nti l asse mbly i s com plet ed.
7 1 . Make sure that the power cord is unplugged. W ith the help of a second person, carefully tip the treadmill onto its left side. Partially fold the Frame (56) so that the treadmill is more stable; do not fully fold the Frame yet. Cut the tie securing the Wire Harness (88) to the Base (95).
8 3 . Remove the M10 Nut (19), the M10 x 50mm Bolt (31), and the shipping bracket (A) from the Base ( 95). Attach a Wheel (97) with the Bolt and the Nut that you just removed. Do not overtighten the Nut; the Wheel must turn freely. Discard the shipping bracket.
9 6. Press a Base Cap (87) into the Base (95). 87 9 5 6 7. With the help of a second person, carefully tip the treadmill onto its right side. Partially fold the Frame (56) so that the treadmill is more stable; do not fully fold the Frame yet. Remove the M10 Nut (19), the M10 x 50mm Bolt (31), and the shipping bracket (A) from the Base (95).
10 9. Press a Base Cap (87) into the Base (95). With the help of a second person, tip the treadmill s o that the Base (95) is flat on the floor. 87 95 9 10. Set the Console (105) face down on a soft sur- face to avoid scratching the Console. Remove the ties securing the Pulse Support (111) to the Console.
1 1 12. Set the Pulse Support (111) on the console as- sembly. Make sure that no wires are pinched. T ighten two M4 x 20mm Screws (2) into the Pulse Support (111). Tighten six M4 x 19mm Screws (35) into the Pulse Support (111) and console assembly. Start all six Screws before tightening any of them.
12 16. Make sure that all parts are properly tightened before you use the treadmill. If there are sheets of clear plastic on the treadmill decals, remove the plastic.
13 OPERA TION AND ADJUSTMENT THE PRE-LUBRICATED WALKING BELT Y our treadmill features a walking belt coated with high- performance lubricant. IMPORTANT: Never apply sil- icone spray or other substances to the walking belt or the walking platform. Such substances will deteriorate the walking belt and cause excessive wear.
14 FEATURES OF THE CONSOLE The treadmill console offers an impressive array of features designed to make your workouts more effec- tive and enjoyable. When you use the manual mode, you can change the speed and incline of the treadmill with the touch of a button.
15 HOW TO TU RN ON THE P OWER IMPORTANT: If the treadmill has been exposed to c old temperatures, allow it to warm to room tem- perature before turning on the power. If you do not d o this, you may damage the console displays or other electrical components.
16 5. Change the incline of the treadmill as desired. To change the incline of the treadmill, press the I nclin e increase or decrease buttons. Each time you press a button, the incline will change by 0.5%. N ote: Af te r you pr es s a b ut ton , it may take a mo- ment for the treadmill to reach the selected incline setting.
17 HOW TO USE A CLASSIC WORKOUT 1. Insert the ke y into the conso le. See HOW TO TURN ON THE POWER on page 1 5. 2. Select a classic workout. To select a classic work- out, press the iFit Classic Workouts button repeatedly until the num- ber of the desired work- out appears in the dis- play.
18 HOW TO USE A WEIGHT LOSS WORKOUT 1. Insert the ke y into the conso le. See HOW TO TURN ON THE POWER on page 1 5. 2. Select a weight loss workout. To select a weight loss workout, press the iFit Wt. Loss Workouts but- ton repeatedly until the number of the desired workout appears in the display.
19 THE INF ORMAT ION MOD E The console features an information mode that keeps t rack of the total distance that the walking belt has moved and the total number of hours that the treadmill h as been used. The information mode also allows you to select a measurement system of miles or kilome- ters, and to turn on and turn off the display demo mode.

2. Hold the metal frame firmly with both hands and lower it to the floor. CAUTION: Do not grip only the plastic foot rails or drop the frame to the floor. Bend your legs and keep your back straight. HOW TO LOWER THE TREADMILL FOR USE 1. Hold the upper end of the treadmill with your right hand.
22 TROUBLESHOOTING M ost treadmill problems can be solved by following the steps below. Find the symptom that applies, and follow the steps listed. If further assistance is needed, please see the front cover of this manual. PROBLEM: The power does not turn on SOLUTION: a.
23 Remove t he three M 4.2 x 19mm H ood Screws (12) and carefully pivot the Hood (67) off. Locate the Reed Switch (70) and the Magnet (51) on the left side of the Pulley (53). Turn the Pulley until the Magnet is aligned with the Reed Switch. Make sure that the gap between the Magnet and the Reed Switch is about 1/8 in.
PROBLEM: The walking belt is off-center or slips when walked on SOLUTION: a. If the walking belt is off-center, first remove the k ey and UNPLUG THE POWER CORD.
