U S B c o n n e c t i o n s Here you can connect USB harddisk s or USB flashdisk s. The Stream Box DS net only works with harddisks and flashdisk s that are formatted with FAT 16 or FAT 32. NTFS disks are not supporte d. You can also connec t an iPod To uc h ( 4 .

The USB connector on t he right side has the same specifications as the one on t he back panel.

S t r e a m B o x DS n e t s e t u p If you want to use the network functions of the Stream Box DS net , you Have to make s om e bas ic settings first. For that please navigate to Setti ngs in the root menu with the buttons and confirm with the button OK .
In the menu that now s ho ws up, please select and confirm Prox y OFF . Please confirm the final questi on “A pp ly Settings?” with OK . Now all settings are made. Y ou r Stream Box DS now will work with out problems in almost all home networks and will find all available media servers.
After the search is finished , the display now shows all found networks, in our example it is only one. Select your own home network. You can find the name of your WLAN network in the setu p menu of your network router or ask t he person, who installed your network.
With the menu item Defa ult UPn P Se rver you can select the media server you want to use pre feren tially . If a server is selected here, it will be the default one for playback from root menu.
P l a y i n g m u s i c f r o m a m e d i a s e r v e r For playing music from a media ser ve r, go to the root menu with the ke y. There please navigate to the menu item Media Se rver with the keys and confirm your selec tion with the key OK .
In Gen re/S on g the tracks are sorted by music types. In Artist the sorting criterion is the pe rf or me r, who recorded the track . In Fo lde r you can access the t r ac k s in the memory folder s on the server like with a normal com pute r.
P l a y i n g m u s i c f r o m U S B f l a s h d i sk or U S B h a r d d i s k To play music from a USB flashdisk or USB harddisk, conne ct it (the latter with an app ro priate cable) to one of the two USB connectors on the front or back of t he Stream Box DS net .
If you want to listen to an internet radio stat ion, do the following: Go to the root menu with the ke y. There plea se move to the menu item Inte rn et Radi o with the keys and confirm your sele ction with the key OK . Now you see a menu list with s ev eral sorting criteria, which help you to find a desired radio station.
Now enter the access code you see in the Stream Box DS net display on t he internet site http:// stream unlim ited.v tuner. com . DON’ T use the code printed here in the manual, it will not work. On the vT une r website you have to register first (it’s completely free of charge).
