Chapter 1 Getting St art ed The P80 c onsole offers admini strators and use rs the abili ty to set defaul t settings tha t meet their speci fic needs. To accompl ish this, the c onsole supp orts settings for different clas ses of users depending on their administrative right s.

Touch the Delete button that appears ne xt to the listing. 3. When asked “Are you su re?", verify that you want to proceed, then touch Yes .

Configuring the System S ettings 37 Manage S ettings Use the Manage Settings feature to save your personalized equipmen t settings to a USB driv e, or to imp ort new software updates fr om a USB drive. Precor recommends that y ou configure the P80 consoles in your facility by sharing settings files.

Chapter 3 Intr oducing Users t o the P80 Console The P80 console offers cle ar visuals and a touch - scr een layout th at e ncourages program exploration. Multiple preset workouts are designed to help individual users meet their fitness goals, and the cons ole keys and durable motio n controls are responsive and easy t o use.
40 Operating and Mainta ining the P80 Console Changing the Default Language The Welcome screen displays in a default language selected for your regi on. To change the defa ult la nguage before b eginning your workout: 1. On the Welcome screen, t ouch the language icon.

The P80 console offers ma ny different workout options. T he following sections explain the type of workouts avail able and how to get star ted using them.

Use Featured Workouts to explore the fitness benefits of preset programs and to add variety to your workout. To begin a Fe atured Workout, touch Go on the Featured Workout panel .

Assembling the EFX 21 Performing the Assemb ly DANGER Do not attempt to con nect electric al power until all assemb ly procedures are c omplete and the con sole is prope rly installe d. As you assemble the EFX, make sure to construct the cable assembly as directed so tha t the necessary connections are accessible when you add the console.

Feed one of the cables you want to install down through the upright support, then al ong the inside of the foot support and back through the central frame member. The following illustration shows the general path of the cable.

Attach the cable to the appropriate connector inside the base of the EFX, as shown in the following illus tration and table. Importan t: Install coaxial c able using a to rque wrench and torque to no t exceed 8 lb - in.
Assembling the EFX 25 13. Replace the central plastic base cover, then attach the four buttonhead screws you removed along with the cover. Tighten the screws completely.

Assembling the EFX 27 3. Check alignments and thread the remaining four center column suppo rt screws, f our ⁵₁₆ - inch washers, and four split washers. Tighten with a ³₁₆ - inch hex key so the assemblies come together, but leave room for adjustments.

Assembling the EFX 29 To attach the water b ottle holder : 1. Position the water bottle holder as shown in the graphic and att ach i t to the right stationary handlebar. Figure 14 : Water bot tle attac hment 2. Secure the water bottle holder to the handlebar using three Phillips - head screws.
30 Assembling and Maintaining Ellip tical Fitness Crosstrainers: EFX 88 5 / 835 / 815 2. To attach the upper body hand lebars, place one split washer and o ne ⁵₁₆ - inch washer on each of six socket - head cap scre ws, then in sert three of th e screws through each handlebar bracket.
Assembling the EFX 31 4. Fully tighten the fasteners using a ⁹₁₆ - inch box- end wrench. Figure 17 : Link arm attachm ent 5. Align the cut - out inside the link arm cap with the link arm mounting hole. Apply pressure to the cap until it snaps into place.

Note: Be sure to align the covers so th at the lip of each cover fits inside the edg e of the base mount and the hook on the base mount fits into the corr esponding slot on the cover.
Assembling the EFX 33 Leveling the EFX Make sure the unit is level before allowing anyone to use it. CAUTION: To eliminate m ovement, m ake sure t he adjustab le feet are in con tact with the floor.
34 Assembling and Maintaining Ellip tical Fitness Crosstrainers: EF X 885 / 835 / 815 Breaking in the Equip ment Precor equipment does not require an actual break - in period. However, moving components such as belts, gears, and bearings can settle while the equipment is being stored or shipped.
Chapter 2 Installing the Console To make installation easier, all Precor Experience Series consoles use the same mounting hardware and connector locations whenever possible.
36 Assembling and Maintaining Ellip tical Fitness Crosstrainers: EF X 885 / 835 / 815 Threading the Cable Assembly (P80) Earlier in the installation, you threaded the necessary cables through the frame of the base unit and out t he passthrough opening in the console mount.
Installing the Console 37 3. Rest the console on the console m ount so that the notch on the bottom of the console ’ s back plate rests on the rectangular hook at the bott om of the console mount, as shown in the following figure. Figure 23 : Conso le position ing on base u nit 4.

Attach the connector on the ca ble to the connector on the tuner cable and tighten the two connectors securely using two ⁷₁₆ - inch open - end wrenches. Pos ition both connectors above the upper r ight corner of the back plate.
