Chapter 1 Getting St art ed The P20 con sole offers admin istrators and members the abili ty to set defaul ts that meet their specific need s. Activating the Console fo r Sel f - Powered Equipme nt Preco r equipm ent is eith er se lf - powered or externally powered using an optional power adapter.
14 Operating and Maintaining the P20 Con sole Optional Use of the Power Adapter An optional AC power ada pter provides sustained power to the equipment. This adapt er allows you to change se ttings without having to pedal the e quipment. To purchase the power adapt er, con tact y our dea ler.
Chapter 2 Setting Up the Console Use the System mode to configure settings in ways th at benefit your users and your facility. The System menu is visi ble on ly to adm inist rat ors a nd re giste red s erv ice technicians. Changes made to these settings are saved to the fitness eq uipment.

Setting Up the Co nsole 19 Event Log The software is able to detect a variety of events. The event log holds a maximum of 30 events. After the log reaches 30 events, older events are erased to make room for newer ones. Note: There i s a short cut for quick access to the Event Log report.

These programs are designed to raise and lower your heart rate i n a repeating fashion for a user - defined period of time by alternating rest and wor k intervals.
Program s 41 Basic Heart Rate Control This program computes yo ur target heart rate based on the calculation, 60% of 220 m inus your age. The e quipment adjusts res istance and/o r incl in e to maintai n your target heart rate while you work out.

First stand on the left foot plate and grab the right handlebar to rock the AMT, then repeat the step while standing on the right foot plate and holding the left handlebar.

Chapter 2 Installing the Console To make installation easier, all Precor Experience Series consoles use the same mounting ha rdware and connector locatio ns whenever possible.

Make sure that all cables are fully and securely connected, and that any unneeded cables are tied back properly.
Chapter 3 Maint enanc e To keep the equipment functioning properly, perform the minor maintenance tasks in this section at the intervals shown on the maintenance checklist. Failure to maintain the equipment as described in this section could void the Precor Limited Warranty.

Be sure to protect the chest strap from extremes in temperature.
Chapter 4 Self- Po w er ed F eat ur es Importa nt : This chapter of the manual d escribes Precor fitn ess equipme nt that ca n operate wi thout bei ng conne cted to AC power. This in cludes units equ ipped with P30 or P 20 consoles. However, P80 co nsoles must be co nnected to AC po wer through their power s upplies to operate.
44 Assembling and Maintaining AMT 800 - Series Adaptive Motion Traine rs Informationa l Displays Prior to S hutdown The equipment saves its battery charge by moving into a shutdown mode. If the user does not mainta in the minimum rate of motion, a 30- second shutdown proce ss begins.
Self- Powered Features 45 Using the Optional Po wer Adapter After connecting t he power adapter to the equipment, plug the opposite end into the appropriate power source (120 V or 240 V). CAUTION: W hen the opti onal power adapter is in use, make sure that the po wer supply cord does not create a safety haz ard.

An important point after buying a device Precor P20 (or even before the purchase) is to read its user manual. We should do this for several simple reasons:
If you have not bought Precor P20 yet, this is a good time to familiarize yourself with the basic data on the product. First of all view first pages of the manual, you can find above. You should find there the most important technical data Precor P20 - thus you can check whether the hardware meets your expectations. When delving into next pages of the user manual, Precor P20 you will learn all the available features of the product, as well as information on its operation. The information that you get Precor P20 will certainly help you make a decision on the purchase.
If you already are a holder of Precor P20, but have not read the manual yet, you should do it for the reasons described above. You will learn then if you properly used the available features, and whether you have not made any mistakes, which can shorten the lifetime Precor P20.
