page 2 COMMERCIAL PRODUCTS DIVISION Thank you f or purchasing the Precor EFX ® 532. Built to the e xacting standards of the health club environment, the EFX532 is intended f or commercial use and can withstand the rigors of daily club use with little maintenance.

page 4 COMMERCIAL PRODUCTS DIVISION GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS The EFX532 must be grounded. If it should malfunction or break down, ground- ing provides a path of least resistance f or electric current which reduces the risk of electr ical shoc k. The EFX532 is equipped with a pow er cord ha ving an equipment-grounding conductor and a grounding plug.

page 11 COMMERCIAL PRODUCTS DIVISION Y ou do not need an y special knowledge or e xperience to set up the EFX. How e v er , you will need assistance. Because of the size and weight of the EFX, it is recommended that at least three adult persons assemble it.

page 18 COMMERCIAL PRODUCTS DIVISION SETTING A WORKOUT TIME LIMIT Y ou can limit how long a user works out by setting a dur ation between 10 and 240 minutes.
page 19 COMMERCIAL PRODUCTS DIVISION Note : The odometer and hour meter are updated at the end of each course. If the course is terminated by turning off the power , the data f or that course is lost. Press Enter again and the unit’ s three digit Software V ersion (V1.

page 21 COMMERCIAL PRODUCTS DIVISION The course profile represents Cross Ramp TM incline settings which can vary between 1 to 14. The lo w est row of LED’ s represent lev el 1 and 2, the ne xt row represents le vels 3 and 4, and so on. If Smar t Rate ® is display ed, then the two columns on the right are not used by the profile displa y .
page 22 COMMERCIAL PRODUCTS DIVISION Time : During your workout, a time (0:00) displa y appears when y ou begin work- ing out. Time appears in minutes and seconds. Howe v er , should you e xceed 60 minutes (during a single workout), the Time display con v er ts to hours and min- utes.

Use any ▼▲ k ey to change the selection. Press Enter to accept the displa y ed name: XTR = CrossT raining, GLUT = Gluteal, INTV = Inter v al, WTLS = W eight Loss.

Begin working out and then, adapt the r amp incline and resistance lev els to meet your fitness goals.
