The battery is charged at the main rate for a preset time, at the end of which, the current is switched automa tically to the topping rate for the remainder of the total time selected.

The Cell Selector becomes a Nominal Battery Voltage selector in other than the Constant Current settings of the Voltage Mode Selector.
