BACK TO CONTENTS Before beginning, disconnect the negativ e (-) ter minal of the battery pr ior to working on the positive (+) terminal to pre vent a shor t to ground. This is impor tant, unless y ou want to spend the rest of your lif e with a nic kname like "Sparky ," or "Smoke y .
BACK TO CONTENTS Grounding Locate an area near the amplifier(s) that is metal and clean an area about the size of a quarter to bare metal. Inspect the area around and underneath to be sure you won't drill into wires, brak e or fuel lines. Drill a pilot hole in the middle of this area.
BACK TO CONTENTS 7 PO WER / GROUND and REMO TE Once you ha v e run both the power and ground wires , it's time to connect the cables to the amplifier . Cut off e xcess wire and, using wire strippers, strip the ends of the power and ground cab les approximately 1/4 inch.
BACK TO CONTENTS Using 16 gauge or larger , run the speak er wires from the amplifier location through the v ehicle to the speakers . Observe the same precautions f or routing these wires that you f ollow ed f or running the power and remote turn-on wires.
BACK TO CONTENTS Bridging Any or all pairs of channels (front, rear or sub) on y our POWER CLASS ™ multi channel amplifier are capab le of being br idged into a 4 ohm mono output without s witches or br idging modules . This feature permits the creation of a mono channel f or a subwoof er or center channel.
