WHY USE MAXXB ASS Precision P ower TM will introduce the first Maxx Bass ® processor to the automotiv e market. The Maxx Bass ® processor is ideal f or improving the perceiv ed bass response in door mounted speakers without upgrading the speak ers or amplifiers.
MaxxBass uses psychoacoustics to e xtend the perceiv ed bass frequency response. It is prov en to provide up to 1.5 octav es of increased bass range . It does not change the frequency balance of the music and sounds more natural than large bass boosts .
5 HO W DOES MAXXBASS WORK Maxx Bass ® uses adv anced digital signal processing based on the prov en psychoacoustic Phenomenon of the Missing Fundamental. A basic description and a Maxx Bass ® Signal Flow diag ram are provided f or interested users. MaxxBass ® first implements a crossov er at the Maxx Bass ® F requency .

WIRING CONFIGURA TIONS The Maxx Bass ® Processor is recommended in two diff erent configurations . 1. Front Stereo Configuration The figure below illustr ates the wiring for a front stereo configuration.
2. Dual Stereo Configurations F or systems without rear subwoof ers, the user ma y pref er to use two Maxx Bass ® Processors, one f or the front speakers and one f or the rear speakers . The units should be wired between the in-dash CD Receiv er and the power amplifiers as sho wn below .
The ground wire should be of the same gauge wire as the po wer wire. As a rule of thumb , use as shor t length of wire as possible . Find a location near the Maxx Bass ® Processor that is metal ( the floor is ideal) and clean an area about the size of a quar ter to bare metal.

MAXXB ASS PROCESSOR SETTINGS T o achie ve proper perf or mance it is impor tant to set or tune the settings on the Maxx Bass ® Processor to the final system. This section recommends initial settings and the users can then fur ther adjust these f or optimal listening.
When the Remote INTENSITY control is plugged into the Maxx Bass ® Processor , the Remote INTENSITY control become activ e and the INTENSITY control on the Maxx Bass ® Processor is disabled.
