11 230 Volt Op er ation As receiv ed f rom t he f actor y, the DT 65 Dov etail er i s desi gned to run on 230 v olt power only . You may eit her connect a UL/CSA li sted 230V pl ug ( s i m ili ar t o t he one shown in Fi gure 6) or “har d-wir e” the m achine di rectly to a cont rol panel.

14 6. Push the head s toc k back and re- connec t the spri ng (Figur e 13) . You must now also s hif t the i nd i cati on templat e (F i gure 16). See “Indic ati on Templat e”.
15 1. T o replace t he f ix ed chaser, rem ove t he thr ee M6 socket head cap scre ws and f lat washers, u sing a 5mm hex wrench a s shown in F igure 17. Remov e the fix ed chaser. 2. Instal l t he new f ix ed chaser and m ake sure it is le v el w ith t h e ma in ta ble .

17 Ther e are a total of f our fenc es on the DT 65 Dov etail er – two v erti ca l and two horizont al. These al low two sets of w or kpiec es to b e cut at the sam e tim e.
18 3. To dec rease the dept h of the morti se (f e m al e) cut, tur n the bolt cl ockwise. To inc rease the depth of t he morti se cut, turn the bol t countercl ockwise. 4. Re-t i ghten the hex nut . T h ickness of T en o n Cu t To adj ust t he thick ness of t he tenon (m ale) cut s, you w i ll change the de pth of the t racer pi n (A, Fi gure 24).
19 NOT E : One not c h of t he scale equal s 1mm. 6. W ith your fi nger s on the shank por t ion of t he cutte r, c are full y ro tate the cutter tow ard the plus (+) or minus (-) pos i t i on as needed. 7. W hen sati s fi ed w i th the adjustm ent, ti ghten both set scre ws f i rmly.

21 5. Activ ate the cl a m p ing c y l inder in f ront o f the RIG H T SI D E workpi ece. 6. Pl ace the drawer BACK on t he hori zont al tabl e, and agai nst the hori zont al f ence. Sli de it fl ush against t he RIGHT SIDE workpi ece. The bot tom groov e on the BACK should f ace downward and oppo sit e the f enc e.
22 Pr eventin g Chip Out As noted prev i ous l y, w hen t he SIDE and FRO N T /BA C K pieces are i nserted i nto the m ach i ne, they are off set a bi t so they’l l m at ch corr ectly when a ssembl ed. I n other word s , t he SIDE w i ll rest slightly to the ri ght o f the FRO N T /BA C K in the m achine.
