7 Cutters Depth Gauge Drive Links Place c hain onto the s p rocket 7. Place chain over and behi nd clutch, fi t- ting the drive links in the clutch dr um sprocket. 8. Fit bottom of dri ve links between the teeth in the sproc ket in the nose of the guide bar .

9 FUELING & LU BRICA TION W ARNING: Remove fuel cap slow- ly when refueli ng. FUE LING E NGINE This engine is certi fied to operate on un- leaded gasoline. Befor e operation, gasol ine must be m ixed wi th a good quali ty synthetic 2-cycle air-cooled engi ne oil designed to be mixed at a ratio of 40:1.
10 NOTE: If the engine sounds as if i t i s tr y- ing to sta rt before the 5 th pull, stop pulling and imm ediately proceed to the next step. 6. Push the choke knob in com pletely (to the OFF position) ; pull the star ter rope until the engine starts .
11 S Allow the chain to cut for y ou. Exer t only light downw ard pres sure. If you force the cut, damage to the bar , chain, or en- gine can res ult. S Release the thr ottle tri gger as s oon as the c ut is c ompleted, all owing t he en- gine to idle.
12 NOTE: Bef ore felling cut is complete, use wedges to open the cut if nec essary to control the dir ection of fall . T o avoi d kick back and chain damage, use wood or plas tic wedges, but never steel or iron w edges.
