11 IGNIT ION SWITCH ON STO P Cho ke Lever 1. Mov e ON/S T O P sw itch to the ON pos i- tion. 2. Slow ly pres s primer bulb 6 times . 3. Pull c hoke/fas t idle lever out to the full ext ent (to the FULL CHO KE posit ion). 4. Pull t he starter r ope sharply 5 times with your r ight hand.

16 Replac e guide bar w hen the groo ve is worn, the guide bar is bent or c rack ed, or when ex - c ess hea ting or burr ing of the rails oc curs . If r e- plac ement is nece ss ary , us e only the guide bar s pecified for y our saw in t he repair part s list or on the decal loc ated on the c hain saw .
17 1. Loos en 3 sc rews on cy linder c over . 2. R e mov e the cy linder cov er . 3. Pull of f the s park plug boot. 4. R e mov e spark plug from cy linder and disc ard. 5. R e plac e with Champion R CJ - - 7Y spar k plug and tighten sec urely w ith a 3 / 4 inch (19 mm) s ock et wr ench.
18 HE LPFU L TIP During stor age of y our gas/ oil mixtur e, the oil w ill sepa - rate from t he gas. We recommend that y ou shak e the gas c an weekly to ins ure proper blending of the gas and oil. ENGINE S Remov e spark plug and pour 1 teas poon of 4 0:1 , 2-cycl e engine oil ( air cooled) through the s park plug opening.
