10 IGNIT ION SWITCH ON STO P Cho ke Lever 1. Mov e ON/ ST OP sw itch to the ON pos i- tion. 2. S lowly pr ess primer bulb 6 times . 3. P ull choke/ fast idle lever out to the full ext ent (to the FULL CHO KE posit ion). 4. P ull the starter rope s harply 5 times w ith your right hand.

15 Replac e guide bar w hen the groo ve is wor n, the guide bar is bent or c rack ed, or when ex - c ess hea ting or burr ing of the rails oc curs . If r e- plac ement is nece ss ary , use only the guide bar s pecified for y our saw in t he repair part s list or on the decal loc ated on the c hain saw .
16 REPLACE SP ARK PLUG The spar k plug s hould be replaced each year to ensur e the engine s tarts easier and runs better . Ignition timing is fix ed and non- adjust able. 1. Loos en 3 sc rews on c ylinder c over. 2. R emove the c ylinder c over . 3. P ull of f the s park plug boot .
17 HE LPFU L TIP During stor age of y our gas/ oil mixtur e, the oil w ill sepa - rate from t he gas. We recommend that y ou shak e the gas c an weekly to ins ure proper blending of the gas and oil. ENGINE S Remov e spark plug and pour 1 teas poon of 4 0: 1, 2-cycl e engine oil (air c ooled) through the s park plug opening.
