-- 6 -- ST ART ING A FLOOD ED E NGIN E Flooded engines can be started by placing the ON/OFF switch in the ON positio n and the choke lever i n the OFF CHO KE posi tion and engaging the throttle lock as dir ected in the ST ARTING A COLD ENGINE sec tion; then, pull the rope to cl ear the engine of excess fuel.

-- 8 -- ENGIN E S Remove spark pl ug and pour 1 teaspoon of 40:1, 2- cycle engine oil (air cool ed) through the spark pl ug opening. Slowly pull the starter rope 8 to 10 tim es to di stri bute oil. S Replace spark plug w ith new one of r ecom- mended type and heat range (see R E- PLACE SP ARK PLUG sec tion).
