8 ASSEMBLE SP ARK PLUG BOO T T O SP ARK PLUG WIRE 1. Remov e spark plug wire from spar k plug and install boot to wire. 2. Reconnect spark plug wire to spar k plug. INST ALL CONTROL B AR 1. P osition control bar so fl attened sec- tion with hole is on opposite side of handle as up-stop brac ket.

14 T O CHANGE ENGINE OIL 1. Disconnect spark plug wire from spar k plug and place wire where it cannot come in contact with plug. 2. Be sure la wn mower is on le vel sur- f ace. NO TE : Oil will drain more freely when warm. Catch oil in a suitab le container .
15 SER VICE AND ADJUSTMENTS W ARNING: T o a void serious injur y , before per fo r m ing any service or ad just ments: 1. Release control bar and stop engine. 2. Mak e sure the blade and all moving par ts hav e completely stopped. 3. Disconnect spark plug wire from spar k plug and place wire where it cannot come in contact with plug.
16 NO TE: Fuel stabilizer is an acceptab le al ter na tiv e in minimizing the f or mation of fuel gum deposits during stor age. Add stabilizer to gasoline in fuel tank or storage con tain er . Alwa ys f ollow the mix ratio f ound on stabilizer container .
