3 9 . USE SAFETY GLASSES. Wear safety glasses or goggles while operating power tools. Also face or dust mask if operation creates dust. All persons in the area where power tools are being operated should also wear safety glasses and face or dust mask.
4 5. KEEP HANDS AND BODY PARTS AWAY from rotating disc. Contact with rotating disc cause severe cuts and abrasions. 6. NEVER RUN SANDER with dust container or dust collector assembly removed. Dust could be blown into eyes. 7. WEAR EYE AND FACE PROTECTION.
5 8. CLEAN UP ALL REMOVED PAINT and dust by wet mopping the floors. Use a wet cloth to clean all walls, sills and any other surfaces where paint or dust is clinging. DO NOT SWEEP, DRY DUST OR VACUUM. Use a high phosphate detergent or trisodium (TSP) to wash and mop areas.
6 OPERA TING INSTRUCTIONS FOREWORD The Porter-Cable Random Orbit Sander provides rapid stock removal with 80 to 100 grit abrasive and swirl-free finishing with 120 to 150 grit abrasive.
7 INST ALLING/REMOVING ABRASIVE DISC Hook & Loop Abrasive: The “hook” side of the sanding pad must be exposed for use with hook & loop abrasives (see REVERSIBLE PAD). 1. CAUTION: DISCONNECT MACHINE FROM POWER SOURCE. 2. Place machine on workbench with pad up (see Fig.
