T o ins tall and mount th e MGC+50: • Place the MGC +50 in a 19” rack and while supporting i t, screw the mountin g brackets to the rack secur ing it with n uts.

Repeat this step for eac h of the ISDN network li nes to be connected to the Network Interface card installe d in the MCU .
MGC+50/MGC+100 Ge tting Started Guide 2-13 Connecting the M GC+ to the IP Network If an IP network Int erface card is installed in t he MGC+, connect the 8-pin RJ-45 connect or of the LAN net work cable to t he LAN-323 RJ-45 jac k on the rear panel of the MGC+.
Chapter 2 - Hardware Inst allation 2-14 First Entry MGC+ Control Unit (CU) IP Config uration The MCU is del ivered with a de fault IP address: 129.254.4.8. At this poin t you cannot communicate wit h the MCU f rom the MGC Ma nager ap plica tion, as the IP addre ss is incorrect.
MGC+50/MGC+100 Ge tting Started Guide 2-15 3. Save the changes i n the LAN.cfg file. 4. Use the Microsoft Unplug or Eject Har dwar e procedure prior to removing t he Flash disk. 5. Remove the Compact Flash di sk from the reader . 6. Insert the Compact Flash disk into the Co mpact Flash slot of the MGC+ Control Module.
Chapter 2 - Hardware Inst allation 2-16 9. Press the Eject butt on. Once the message “ 1 F ile(s) cop ied ” is displayed o n screen, the Flash Memory LED no longer flashes. 10. Remove the Compact Flash disk from the Co mpact Flash slot on t he MGC + Co ntrol Mo dule an d press the Reset button on the MG C+.

The MCU ident ifies their CLI or I P address ( as d ef ine d in the partici pan t pr ope rti es) an d routes t hem to the appropriate conference.
MGC+50/MGC+100 Getti ng Started Guide 5-6 For example, if the IP Network Service prefix is 27, the conference Numeri c ID is 1478 and the confere nce name is ‘MARKETING’, the par ticipant can dial 27 1478 or 27MARKETING . IF the Entry Queue name is EQ1 and its numeric ID is 3000, the partici pant can dial 273000 or 27EQ1 t o access the MR.

Also when a participant is disconnected from t he conference, you can reconnect the participant to the conference.
