CHAR GING BA TTER Y T o e xtend battery lifetime, it’ s recommended t o charge the Devic e for the rst time from 8 to 12 hours in the off state. Y ou can charge the batt ery from PC using USB-cable or from the power line using a charger ( optional).
Getting Started 14 If the Devic e is on when y ou conne ct the cable to PC, a dialog window asking to select action – PC link or Charge – will appear . Charging will star t if corresponding mode is selected only . PO WER MANA GEMENT T o turn on the De vice, press and hold On/Off button for a few seconds until startup logo will appear .

Operating system of comput er will detect De vice ’ s storage as removable disk (if SD card installed – as two ones). Now you can copy les to the Devic e or SD card using Explorer or other le manager .

Getting Started 18 T o navigat e through the ke yboard use the navigation ke ys and OK button. T o spe ed up ke yboard operations all symbols are divided into 5 zones. The rst navigation key press transfers cursor to the middle o f the selected zone, and then you can sele ct the required symbol in this zone.

Main Menu 22 RECENT EVENTS This section displays last actions on the De vice, namely last opened and rec ently loaded books. After y ou press OK on recently opened book title, it will be opened on a page you’ve nished reading before. After pressing OK on a message about re cently added books, Library will be opened displaying added books.

Main Menu 25 NO TES In this section y ou can view notes made during reading. After your select a book, where you made a note, the book cont ents with all the notes will be displayed. Select a note, and reader application will open a book at the place the note was made.
Main Menu 26 APPLIC A TIONS This section c ontains games and additional software. T o exit an application, press Backward k e y. R eading Books In this chapter y ou will learn how to read e-books and congure reader sof tware for the most comfortable reading. The Devic e suppor ts next book formats: PDF, EPUB (including DRM-protected); FB2, FB2.zip, T X T , R TF, HTML, CHM, DJVU, DOC, DOCX, T CR.
R eading Books 31 TURNING P AGES Use Backward/Forward or L eft/Right ke ys to turn pages. C ontinuous Backward/Forward ke ys press turns 10 pages at once.
R eading Books 32 you will reach the largest/smallest one, te xt will change to smallest/largest. READING MENU T o acc ess reader application menu press OK button. C ontents Opens structured cont ent of the book if present , otherwise you’ll get message about missing table of c ontents.
R eading Books 33 you’ve made during reading. If table o f cont ents has more than one lev el, higher level entry will be marked with ‘+’ sign. Expanded item is displayed with a sign ‘ - ‘ . Buttons L eft/Right c ollapse/expand select ed subsection branch.
R eading Books 34 Go to P age T o select a page, move the slider lef t or right by Left/Right buttons. P ress OK to go to a chosen page. If you want to open the exact page press Enter page number , after typing a page number exactly from on-screen ke yboard press OK .

R eading Books 38 in this mode. R eow mode is supported for PDF books only . Y ou can use Zoom -/+ mode to zoom a page par t . Move on the screen by continuous L eft, Right , Up, Down keys. Zoom -/+ mode is a t emporary mode, you can return t o the default or last dened mode by pressing Le f t , Right , Forward ke ys.
R eading Books 39 R otate Fixes the scre en orientation: select the suitable one with navigation ke ys. Making Notes Y ou can enter notes mode by pressing Down button continuously or by pressing the corresponding menu option. On the top o f the display separate area will appear .
R eading Books 40 note. The menu, that will appear , suggests y ou to save selected fragment as image or t ext (if available) or cancel making note. Y ou can look through the notes b y choosing Notes section in the main menu. By pressing OK button on the note, y ou can switch to the initial page, where it was created.
Settings In this chapter you will learn how congure the interface and sof tware features of the De vice f or the most comf or table usage. Select Settings Main menu section to congure the Devic e. All changes will be applied after e xiting the section.

Settings 45 • Format SD-card – this action will erase all data on ext ernal microSD-card • Backup conguration to SD – this action will create a backup folder on an external microSD-card and will sav e there system settings.
