Congratulations on purchasing your new Plantronics product. This guide contains instructions for setting up and using your Savi W745 Wireless Headset System which has a WO2 base and a WH500 headset. Please refer to the separate safety instructions for important product safety information prior to installation or use of the product.

After you install the headset battery, choose one of the three headset wearing styles, over-the-ear, over-the-head or behind-the-head. Use the fit kit to assemble it and optimize the position of the microphone. Positi on the battery as shown on the headset and sl ide into positi on until the bat tery sn aps into place.

The h eadband can be w orn on the righ t or le ft side. 3 To opt imize t he posit ion of the head set, pus h the h eadset i n so th e microp hone is close t o your mouth.

Your mobile phone can be paired to multiple headsets and hands-free devices, but it can only be connected to one device at a time. Following are instructions for pairing your mobile phone to the base. 1 Press down an d hold B luetooth pairin g button (4 sec onds) on Savi b ase unti l indica tor LED flashe s red a nd blue.
Connec t the U SB cable . 1 While wearing your he adset, s hort pr ess the base co mputer b utton. 2 Dial a call f rom your compute r softp hone. 3 End th e call by press ing the headset call co ntrol b utton. The minimum recommended separation between your desk phone and the base is 6 inches.

Replac e your headset battery The sp are hea dset bat tery is located in a ba ttery c ompartme nt on t he side of the c harging cradle . Becau se the b attery i s hot-s wappable , you w on't los e a cal l if you replace the ba ttery within five m inutes.
Use the Base When t he syst em is id le, shor t press the bas e subsc ription button once to get feed back on the headse t batte ry level . The c omputer, mobile and des k phone button LEDs wil l light up, ind icating your h eadset battery level.

Audio Limiting Audio Limiting provides advanced hearing protection for daily noise exposure. When Audio- Limiting is SELECTED, the system monitors and controls sound to ensure audio levels do not exceed 80 dBA or 85 dBA (whichever is selected) specified by current and imminent EU legislation.

Microsoft Office Communicator/Lync ™ Dial-tone Enabled If this feature is selected, when a PC radio link is established, Microsoft Office Communicator/ Lync ™ will assume the user is trying to place a VoIP call and provide a dial tone.
My headset is unstable. When you wear the headset, the microphone should rest as close to your cheek as possible without touching. The microphone can be adjusted inward by the pivoting earpiece to optimize the position of the headset. See Position Your Headset .
People I talk to can hear a buzz in the background. Move the base further away from your phone. See Position Your Base . If the base power supply is plugged into a power strip, plug it into the wall directly. The handset lifter is installed but does not lift the handset.
If the distortion is still present, lower the volume on the headset. I can no longer hear any audio through my PC Speakers. For Windows XP systems • Refer to the “Audio” tab of the “Sounds and Audio Devices” option in your PC Control Panel. • Under “Sound Playback”, change the default setting from Savi Office to your PC speakers.
