11 Chec k C onfi gu rati on a nd Ma ke a T est Ca l l 1 If your desk phon e has a volume control s et it to mid -rang e. 2 Look at the bottom panel of your base and make sure the default settings are correct.

USE 2 While wearing yo ur headse t, slide th e handset lif ter arm und er the hands et until the lif ter bas e touches th e side of the pho ne.
13 If Y ou Do Not Hear a Dial T one 1 If you do not he ar a dial tone, rais e the lif ter height s witch to the n ex t highes t posit ion. 2 Repeat ste ps 2 through 5 abo ve as neces sar y until you h ear a dial tone. 3 When yo u hear a dial tone, s ecure the lif ter as des cribed in s teps 6 though 8 .

17 Low Bat te r y Warning If you are on a call and the h eadset b at ter y is critically l ow, you will hear a repea ted single low tone e ver y 15 seconds indicating that t he bat ter y is low.

Ho wever, if you wish to use a n ew headse t or nee d to restor e subscript ion to your current he adset , the units c an be subscr ibed to each oth er by the following t wo m ethods .
19 2 Wideband/Na rrowband Aud io Switc h The CS530 has wideband audio, whi ch allows spe ech to so und clearer and mor e natural. If your desk phon e is capable of wideb and audio, se t the Wideb and-Nar rowband audio s witch to yellow for wide band. NOTE: T alk time wil l be reduced wh en ope rating in wi deban d mode .

21 HEA DSET Headset has to be charged too often. T alk time is not as long as stated. Switch the Wideband-Narrowband audio switch to narrowband (black). T alk time performance is significantly degraded even after a full recharge. Battery is wearing out.
